FireRed hack: Pokémon Adventure - Red Chapter NEW BETA + EXPANSION

hi all,
recently started to play Adventure red and must say its quite the rom. However, ive run into a few problems and could sure use the help. How do u properly patch adventure red into fire red? i used lunar IPS to take the adventure red and patch it into fire red. I keep getting stuck after completing Lavender Town and cannot get by the old man going onto Route 8. Might it be that im not using a clean version of Fire Red 1.0? Or are there any parts in the storyline that need to be completed. Have completed the Ash Jar along with the SS Anne. Thanks for the help. Cheers!

I found a bug I just updated 7 to 7.5 and now I can't proceed because the old man won't move
These is in route 4 were Gyarados event and I save on Poke Center

Did you talk to prof Oak in the Pokemon centre telephone?

Keep up the great work man! It is in beta so it is expected to have bugs. BTW if I were you, I wouldn't work much on a Anime hack because ashgray is out and the managa , which I think is much better, is your little monopoly. Not saying that you should quit working on the anime hack, that is just my two cents on that subject.

i did everything again like u said without the old save's and still same thing happens... :/

You are probably using a wrong rom file. Use the one from coolrom. V1.0 pokemon fire red.
Also in the intro, the starter sprite is supposed to be black, as he changed the intro and it's red now, instead of professor oak. Use lunar ips to patch the Pokemon fire red v1.0 file with Beta 7.5.ips and start a fresh game. It should work smooth now or you're doing something wrong.

AshGray is allright but if youd make a season 1 of Ash in a simillar way as Red Chapter it would turn a very good hack :)

it just seem's i'll have to go all from the beggining. :/

ps. the pokemon that evolve by change usually, like gengar, alakazam, and those, at what lvl do they evolve here? cause if i did understand it correctly, they do evolve on a certain lvl, right? :)

I think I have found a glitch, in Mr. O event at the Pokémon Mansion, after beating the two grunts and Mr. O appeared,

I am sorry I didn't take more pics, but, after the event, when I gain control of myself again, I can't speak to Mr. 0, the camera is glitchy (the camera doesn't follow me like it should) and speaking to the tile where I appear freezes the game.

EDIT: After exiting the Mansion, and reentering, Mr. O is here, and I can't speak to him:

Also, what do I have to do to continue that chapter after that?

Also, I don't know what I have done, but my game is completely glitched, all the sprites are reappearing and speaking to the mfreezes the game! Could it be because I did the Safari Pidgeybot chapter or something? Or maybe beacause of continuing my Beta 7 save?

When I say all the sprites reappear, I mean this:

My FireRed rom is the good one, I know it because I have played many Fire Red hacks with no problem, and I am using Beta 7.5. What can be happening?

EDIT2: And something even odder, I redid the first event in the game, the Nidorino one, and all the odd sprites disappeared, so everything is back to normal...

I have questions. 1. where do you get rocksmash? i just used wall walking to get around the rock at giovani's gym to battle him 2. I got the alert from bill about the "x" pokemon and talked to that kid in the water by bills but could still only enter the cave if i wall walked around the back, the aura wouldn't let me in 3. I'm currently stuck trying to get the vaporeon to leave kanto, i talked to blue to get surf but i can't use it outside of battle at all? anyone know what's up with all this? starting a new game soon unless rockman can fix it soon

i kept red's team but was disappointed that only pika, poli, snor, saur, and aero showed up in the cut scenes, vee didn't but could be because i made her an espeon idk

The old man inside the gym gives you Rock Smash. Also, you can use surf outside the battle, in the last beta you can do it as normally, in previous versions you hadto go to the menu and use Surf, like in first gen games.

1. The old man in the gym gives you rock smash. 2. You need to talk to more people to trigger it. 3. How about you try opening the menu and clicking "Pokemon" and go to the Pokemon that knows surf and use it that way.

@Mochorro it must be the older saves fault its never a good idea to use older saves with new versions the best thing is always starting over again

I used Reds pokemon because they appear on cutscenes xD
Its the first time i ever used a Poliwhirl btw lol never liked water pokemon that much

Those pokemon evolve with the item link cable now, and others like onix and scyther with metal coat you just use the items like evolution stones

1. You get rock smash inside the viridians gym, talk with the crazy old guy xD
2. You talk to the ghost girl in cerulean, see the Monster dive in the lake near mistys mansion, talk to the guy near the spot where the fearow kidnapps bill and use surf near bills house to talk to the kid whos swimming
I did those and could enter the cave
3. You mean Dive or Surf???
Game ends at the vaporeon getting kidnapped by team rocket in beta 7 wait beta 8 to continue your adventure

@ElitePokes, it can be that, but as I said everything is back to normal after repeating the Nidorino event... Perhaps as it's been modified in this last release to make Poliwhirl lv 5 again things were off but after finishing it things became normal again?

Also, how do I continue te Mr. O chapter after meeting Team Rocket at the Pokémon Mansion?

You need to go to pallet towns forest where you met mew there are flowers you need to find porygon in 1 of the flowers by pressing A
Then after the cutscene you will need to go to vermilion and do the same, this time you must find it in the star things near the water

Hey rockmanmegaman are the pokemon leagues events changed if i dont go to the mansion to meet Dr O?

Its so cool how skipping events affects future events it makes the events accurate, i didnt do bills event and he wasnt present at the eevee chapter and he didnt knew who i was at the league :D
I wonder who rescued him from that Fearow xD

I think you can check his pokemon in bulbapedia

As for events you most likely will only not see the pokemon from reds party appear in cutscenes nothing else

Reds party is good if i would use my team i think i would probably only replace aerodactyl, snorlax and gyarados with alakazam, gengar and dragonite and keep my poliwrath, venusaur and pikachu xD

ya just checked it out. it's really lame his whole set off pokemon xD
i will probably keep just venusaur, since i cant have charizard wich is my favourite. i'd keep venusaur, and will get myself alakazam,arcanine, pidgeot, gengar if i find another link cable, as for the last am not sure, i will keep probably even poliwrath since it can use surf :P

ps. which pokemon can i evolve with solar ribbon and deepseascale? O.o first time i even hear of those (which is obvious since they are present only in this game as evolve items)
is there somewhere a list of pokemons and what items do they need to evolve? :)

Thanks again! That event was glitchy in my game, and Mr. O, didn't tell me to go to the forest, I guess it was glitchy because of that thing of the saves ot the changes in the first event.
