Iris is the next girl to reappear in the trend continues. Won't be seeing anymore of May.

If they give any ORAS references, which I don't really see since its a world wide release and Japan in like 3 or 4 weeks ahead Anime wise, then it'll be Steven Stone or Wallace reappearing. Steven making the most sense since he's now researching Mega Evolution.

Sadly, I doubt Ash will get any Megas at all. All the Mega Evolution related plots seem to be going to side characters. So if there is an ORAS event its Steven coming to Kalos for a few episodes. Teaming with Ash to learn more about Mega Evolution (though they already did this so they'd just be repeating episodes.)

Or have Ash and Co meet Steven when they get to Korrina's gym, where she'll fight against Steven and give him the Mega Charizardite X for a Charizard that he'll possibly have on him. Something short and sweet.

I think the only mega that Ash will get will be Charizard, obviously as he's the biggest pokemon character in the anime bar Pikachu. As he's Ash's most powerful pokemon I think he'll get to use mega evolution.

As far as sceptile goes, it wouldn't be impossible for the writers to give ash his mega stone. But I could also see it being one of this cases where Ash uses it once and then decides that he wants to win without mega evolution as he "believes in his Pokemons strength" without it, if you get me.

I do think that its a long shot for him to use mega evolution but not impossible.

Why not? For HGSS, the DP series had a few episodes with Lyra in, and Iris doesn't advertise ORAS at all. Besides, she has already had her special revisit episode. All they would have to do is put May in her ORAS outfit, and have an episode or two showing contests again. Seeing Steven would be nice, as from what I remember, he was only in one episode.

The way the reoccuring female companion has worked in the Anime has the last one reappearing later in the show's time.

Misty reappeared in Hoenn.
May reappeared in Sinnoh
Dawn reappeared in Unova.
Iris will reappear in Kalos if the trend stays true.

A Pokemon Special episode isn't the same thing as a revisit episode. Misty had her Pokemon special episode before she reappeared in the Hoenn series. (I think she reappeared in Advance battle when they were back in Kanto.)

May has already had her reoccurance episode. Iris hasn't yet.

If they do a thing for ORAS it'll possibly be Steven Stone and would make more sense since he is researching Mega Evolution in ORAS. He can go to Kalos for a couple of episodes similar to Lyra, but they've already done the "Search for the meaning to Mega Evolution." thing with Korrina so they'd be copy pasting the same plot essentially. Steven is also a lot stronger so he could appear just for a short period. They haven't gotten to Korrina's gym yet and by the time they do they could be close to ORAS's release.

That would be the best time to incorperate Steven into the anime to do a recap on mega evolution, include the tower in Korrina's city and still present a decent ORAS advertisement.

If that tweet by Mayumi Iizuka is anything to go by, Misty's going to have a guest appearance in Kalos in addition to Iris.

I remember reading on another forum that Haruka's voice actress retired. If that's true, that in itself stands a good chance of putting an end to any chances she has of ever showing up again. And even if not, it's not like the anime hasn't passed up seemingly obvious chances of reintroducing old characters before. In either case, I don't view a Haruka appearance as likely. Maybe they'll go with a Yuuki appearance instead...?

And if Satoshi is to get a Mega evolution, Daigo could be the one to give him the necessary stone. That alone would keep his appearance from being the same as Corni's and it's not as if Satoshi would have to use it right away. I do feel that, one way or another, we'll be seeing Mega Jukain and/or Mega Laglarge in the anime.

I Think the main question is -

How will the Anime showcase Primal Groudon , Primal Kyogre , Mega Diancle , Mega Latias in Anime ???

Because Megevolution require Human partner , King stone , Mega stone & strong Bond.
The movie able to showcase Mega Mewtwo Y because nobody knew about Megevolution then and believe it to be Mewtwo's another form .
But they can't do it every single time ?
It will just confuse Kids !!!

I would say that May is coming back but... she's one of the main girls who already got her return so...
I think Brendan will appear much like Kotone did...

Didn't May's voice actor in Japan retire from acting, period, recently (and if that's true... dear lord, May's VA must be ancient, no offense.)? Assuming they don't pull a Giovanni on us (where they replaced his VA despite Japan customs dictating that they take the character the actor/actress played to the grave with them), that makes it extremely unlikely that May won't be coming back. She wasn't exactly someone who was very loyal to her friends anyways. Her leaving seemed more like a rushed goodbye anyways, even with the setup, and even her visit to Sinnoh was more predicated to her contests than the fact that Ash and co. were in Sinnoh anyways, so I don't expect her to come back. Misty's leaving, as horrible as that was, at least tried to be emotional and showed her being conflicted regarding having to leave. Probably the only one of the group in AG who actually came close to feeling any conflictions to leaving was her younger brother Max.

Mayumi Iizuka at least is still going strong in acting and shows no signs of being about to retire, so the chances of Misty returning are higher than May's chances, in either case. And this is objective fact.

KAORI was always more of a singer than seiyuu... and as long as she's alive, she would be brought back ;) (Well... being dead doesn't really stop that (I'm looking at you, Igor) but...).
So she would just voice Haruka for a few episodes and return to singing =)

(Plus if they change her seiyuu to for example... HanaKana, please, do it =D)

Brendan, and most likely if he appears, he'll have more of a role than just a cameo (which is what his prior appearances have been).

And, no offense, but I'd rather not have May back at all. Maybe if they didn't make her like the Fiorello Fangirls or the girls from Love Hina, I wouldn't be so harsh, but... well, you probably can guess why I'm not particularly liking of May to say the very least. Though hey, if you want May to come back, maybe she will, hard to say.

Oh, so its more closer to a Hillary Duff thing, then (ie, she quit acting to pursue a singing career, maybe occasionally getting back into acting if the need fits)?

And I know what you mean by that: Giovanni's VA died yet they replaced him.

Not being Japanese or much of a follower of Japanese icons I have no idea who HanaKana is. However, as long as she doesn't do voices that are similar to Naru Narusegawa, Mutushi, Mitsune, Kanako Urashima, and the like, or heck, the Fiorello Fangirls from the episode Princess vs. Princess (ie, she doesn't do the loud, whiney, obnoxious, silly, spoiled, throwing temper-tantrum type characters that would best be summed up as being... pardon the French [well, technically Italian, but you know what I'm alluding to here] but, bimbo-types). I was not a very big fan of May once I first heard of her voice, and her physical appearance certainly didn't help matters, either.

I don't think May will return, she has already done her time in AG and DP. I think Max is more likely to return, even though it probably wouldn't be that interesting because he's probably been doing nothing but learning about Pokémon since he left Ash. Although I also find his return unlikely. I wouldn't be surprised if one of Ash's AG Pokémon returned, though. Especially Sceptile, due to its new Mega evolution. My choice would be either Corphish or Torkoal because they were my favorites :P

I honestly don't think ORAS will have a lot of influence. Besides one of Ash's AG Pokémon returning, it's possible that a character from AG (or maybe a new character introduced in ORAS) will appear for an arc. I think Khrysta's idea of Steven returning is very possible, but I think he would be interested in the Primal thing (unless Mega = Primal).

^ I agree. HG/SS really didn't have much influence other than Lyra's appearance, so why should OR/AS?

I think the anime will focus more on the third version of X/Y (Z) or X/Y sequels, should there be any.

That said, I would die to see May return for the anime. xD

Yeah, and come to think of it, other than setting the Battle Frontier in Kanto for some reason, they really didn't even focus that much on FR/LG, either.

And Brendan probably would have to get a larger role than a cameo if he appears in lieu of May. I wonder where May will do contests, though? She's done Hoenn, Kanto, and presumably Johto by that point, so that only leaves Sinnoh, since Unova doesn't have contests, and I'm doubtful Kalos has contests either.

As far as Mega Evolutions, I'm suspecting Groudon and Kyogre are going to be fought in Primal forms in the games, so legendaries may be the exception to that rule. Speaking of which, I wonder if the OS Mewtwo (the one from Movie 1 and Mewtwo Returns) will appear in the upcoming movie, since the next movie does focus on Mega Evolutions, and Mega X form still has to debut, it would fit that Mewtwo since it has a masculine nature.
