Apple wasn't the first to come up with many things on their devices, though they usually get it right.

Thing is that nobody ever attributes something to someone that did it first. They almost always attribute things to someone that did it right, which is both a good thing and a bad thing, depending on how you view it.

Good for them, bad for the market. They create the image that they're this giant, innovative company(they do have some good stuff about them not going to lie), but that draws attention away from the companies that deserve the respect and attention for creating the idea. Also, does anyone else love this phones retro chic design?

Its not 100& confirmed yet, but that's the Oppo N3 most likely. The round swivel reminds me of my old samsungs, and its a neat idea compared to most slabs these days. Would import on design merit alone.

Respect will never go to a bad product. That's why doing it right is more important than doing it first, in my opinion.

Sure, but sometimes both do it right, but the one with better advertising gets more attention, which is wrong.

There are times when I wish I had cutting-edge devices and gadgets, but then again I'm always the one hat tells others to go with what they need :P

Green Lumia 930s. Man, Nokia Microsoft Mobile sure likes their fancy colours.

Or I could get a yellow Lumia 1520.

Now I'm not sure if I must buy newer Android phone like Nexus. See, I feel satisfied with my current phone, but it's being out of date in terms of software support though (some of them won't even support Froyo anymore), so it can be a big dilemma for me.

With android, if you have any highender from 2013/2014, I feel you'd be covered well into 2016 maybe 2017 in terms of software support and technical prowness. I doubt we'll ever need to go beyond 3ghz or 3 gigs of ram for the forseeable future, hell computers don't need more then that either. Maybe some updates on the GPU's, but otherwise phones have reached the peak I'm afraid. Okay, battery life sucks, but we're still stuck in the mid 2000s in that department.

I've read that Android 4.4 had been ported by someone to the Motorla Droid 1
Thus, proving that Google's low required hardware specs really are spot on
Also, it's that manufacturers don't wanna support old hardware because planned obsolescence!

    Anyway, I have the first-gen Nexus 7
    That was a disaster tablet
I used my mom's 2013 variant, now THAT is a great tablet
Apparently, the SSD in the Nexus 7 first-gen is faulty? Idk if that's 100% true
But, it would make a lot of sense...

The original Nexus 7 shipped with a version of Android that didn't really perform proper maintenance on the NAND flash storage within in. I believe it should be fixed by now, via firmware updates.

I've decided to put off the phone purchase until, maybe, this Christmas. Prices will probably fall again.

Also, I really should pay attention to my laptop's power plans. I left it on power saver again, and I didn't realize it until it gave me a choppy Battlefield 4 session - and I thought it was the game's fault!

If I were to get an Android Phone, I'd most probably go for the HTC One. Whilst there are plenty of great Android-based phones on the market right now, HTC appeals most to me. Not to mention it looks super sleek. n_n

I'm not even going to look at Android until 5.0 comes out with all of the power saving features. My entry level Windows Phone can go two days before I have to charge it.
