Which Water-type Pokémon you are going to include in your ORAS in-game team? Why this Pokémon in particular?
Unfortunately, I haven't made much plans for my ORAS team yet. However, I am wanting to include Swampert on my crew, as I'm really curious to see how well it performs while it mega-evolves. To me, its mega-evolution looks quite fierce, which I like; just hoping that it lives up to its appearance!

Aside from above, I might also give Milotic a try. I'm not sure if any mega-form has been introduced for it or not (as I haven't been keeping up with ORAS news as of late), but I hope it does, because if you ask me, it really does deserve one. It's very popular in general, and it's also native to Hoenn, if I'm not mistaken; if they don't capitalize on this opportunity, I believe it would be sort of foolish.

Depends on if I go with Mudkip or Treecko. If I choose Treecko, it'll probably be Sharpedo since it's one of my favorite (not sure how much I like its Mega though). I'd also consider Horsea/Seadra if I can evolve it into Kingdra.

Current topic: Are you satisfied* with the new Water-type Mega Pokémon? Why?

*Feel free to discuss by aesthetic, design, amount of new Water Megas etc. Just keep in mind it should be about your satisfaction rate.

Are you satisfied with the new Water-type Mega Pokémon? Why?

I haven't been keeping up with the ORAS hype so I wasn't even aware of new mega evolutions, let alone water ones. :( But I had a brief look and from what I can see - the new megas are Swampert, Sharpedo and Slowbro, right? (not sure if I'm missing anyone here) Personally, I think their designs could be better but then again a mega evo isn't supposed to be a new pokemon rather a powerup to the previous evolution. So I guess I can understand why they'd only add some extra lines to Sharpedo or bulk up Swampert a little. I honestly laughed at Mega Slowbro, it was pretty comedic just seeing it spin around like a spinning top. But that's not a bad thing - it was kind of amusing and an enjoyable design. :)

As for the amount, I'm pretty satisfied with them having released 3 mega water-evos. We still have 2 months to go anyway so they'll probably add more and if not, it's no big deal. They're not creating too many mega evolutions regardless so it shouldn't really matter in the long run. Anyway, I really like the new water mega evolutions and while I think they could of taken off a few small details such as some of the spikes on Sharpedo, GF did a pretty good job overall. So yes, I'm satisfied with the new water type mega evos.

Mega Slowbro though, omg. :( i cry everytime because it's too fabulous.

Sort of. I like Mega Swampert and I'm excited to use that. Sharpedo is a bit strange in design to me, I don't know why, but it kinda looks goofy to me. Slowbro is just hilarious, but I love it since that is exactly what I would expect out of Slowbro.

Sharpedo's nose looks a bit too long for my liking, plus it did lose the one ability that gave it relevance (Speed Boost) but at least a Crunch or Ice Fang coming from it is gonna hurt. Slowbro looks hilarious but I like it. As for Swampert, my golly that thing is buff but it's gonna be quite a destroyer so really excited to use its Mega once I get the games!

I'm not quite satisfied with the amount of our new Water-type Megas, that is because I'm a Water-type fanatic.

I would also like to see one of the most anticipated Mega Milotic for OrAs and even Mega Kingdra, it's sad that they didn't make their Megas' debut for OrAs.

I'm fine with the design Mega Sharpedo, but it can be a lot better. As for Mega Slowbro, just as everyone said its hilarious and one might not take it serious in battles.

I'm satisfied enough with those we have, though I agree that there aren't many new Water-type Megas. So far, I like Mega Sharpedo's design the best. Speed Boost is going to make it a deadly glass cannon. Hm. I'm not really sure about how Mega Slowbro will actually function: will it have an increased speed and be able to use spinning moves because of its top-like appearance? It'll definitely be a useful tank of sorts, thats for sure. We've just gotta wait and see for ourselves. As for Mega Swampert, well. Bulk, bulk, a truckload of strength, more bulk. What else is there to say? Haha. It's going to be a very powerful starter, but I'm unfortunately not that into its design. It's a little too...bulky for me. In any case, I do hope they'll release more Mega Water-types in the future!

There has been a LOT of clamoring for Mega Milotic, and I'm not surprised. It's one of the most popular Hoenn Water-types. I wouldn't mind it getting a Mega because it is pretty prominent. I still want my Flygon but oops that's off topic.

I'm not satisfied with the amount! Besides Mega Milotic, where's my Mega Kingdra, Mega Corsola, Mega Crawdaunt and Mega Walrein? (Of course I have my other non-Water selections, but let's not go off topic as you said :p )T^T

Yeah, the Mega Swampert is a bit too bulky. So bulky that it can make most Fighting type Pokémon feel ashamed of their own physiques. Judging by Mega Slowbro's design, it's most likely a Defense and S. Defense and even HP boost, but prolly no Speed increase but decrease instead. :o

That's a lot! I agree about Kingdra though, I'd love to see what they do with a Mega for it.

Mega Kingdra after they create Mega Milotic? Heck yeah.

    Spoiler:

There's some pretty good fan art for you all. Thoughts? I personally like it, not too detailed but not too simple either. Also the darker colours with Kingdra's original colour scheme are pretty wow together. :D

Mega-Kingdra would be fantastic, definitely! It used to be extremely popular couple of years ago, but has began dwindling afterward; now, it's rarely seen used, sadly. Hopefully, if it does wind up getting a mega-evolution form, which I (and plenty of others, surely) would like, it's going to get a way of rising back to top, somehow. It's a very useful Pokémon, really; one our part, I believe all we've got to do is be careful when utilizing and whatnot, which could be sort of challenging for those who are new to competitive scene.

As for fan-art, that looks wonderful, haha. It'd be nice if it does wind up looking like it! My most favorite aspect would likely have to be top of its head; to me, it seems to resemble a crown, which is very unique.

Yeah, Kingdra's dropped in popularity a lot since its debut. I guess it might just be the effort of getting one through trading and 'better' dragons. However throwing on a mega evolution would make it more appreciated seeing as most pseudo-legendaries have slowly gained dominance over water dragons like Kingdra. Not to mention popular water-types as well. All in all, it makes for an underrated and sad seahorse. :(

    That's also true now that I think about it. :p The thing that probably lured me in the most to want a Mega Kingdra was the fanart above. Like whoooa, they did a really good job adding details and features. And yeah I'd have to agree the crown was pretty amazing. ;__;

Mega Kingdra should have two Mega Stones for OrAs if he was suppose to be real (Kingdranite Ω and Kingdranite Α). :(

Wouldn't that mean another mega form for Kingdra though? Unless you mean it's just the same form, different items. :P That could work but I think they'd only bother using it on legendaries or pokemon significant to the series/who have two forms. But I like the idea. :D

Lol. Of course 2 different separate forms, in a similar fashion to a certain Fire-type starter.

Gotcha. Should of thought deeper before I asked that. XD Would they really give Kingdra two forms though? Not from my point of view but Gamefreak's. I think they'd rather try to make a big hit by throwing two forms onto a water starter/legendary then an underrated pokemon like Kingdra. :( Two forms of Mega Suicune, anybody? :D

While we're on the general topic of two form mega evos, Politoed and Poliwrath should also get mega forms respectively. They'd sorta counterpart each other since they both come from Poliwhirl. So that would make it 'two forms' for one evolution? (sorry if that didn't make much sense, tried to explain it the best I could) :p

Also Mega Kyogre should be a thing with the release of Mega Rayquaza. What do you guys think? :)
