I never thought that music spoilers would be something that would make me sad, but it apparently is. God damn do I wish that I heard all the tracks spoiled for the first time playing the games. Ah well, now that the damage is done, its done. Victory Road and the Leader theme were two songs I was very worried about, but they've delivered so much on the tracks. Can't wait to see what bat**** insane composition they have for the primals. And all the other tracks like the rival battle, route 111 and what not are major improvements. As are the routes. Everything looks so.....new. Much better work then HGSS.

As for Sea Mauville, its speculated to be the new name of the Abandoned Ship.
Edit: I think no one realized this, but I think they previewed the sealed chamber:

Sootopolis entrance is in the first comparison vid, and no other city/cave has that big of an entrance, unless they moved the Cave of Origins.

I watched all three of the linked videos and I have to say that they did a great job keeping the music sounding as close to the originals as possible. Also, I love how they kept the mechanic with the houses in Littleroot Town where Brendan always lives in the house on the left while May lives in the house on the right.

I loved the Silph Scope scene as well, along with Birch getting chased by the Poochyena. But the real standout was how adorable May was acting, as if I didn't already love her enough now I love her even more.

Wow, Maxie can already use mega evolution at MT. CHIMNEY. That is really really early in game compared to XY's villainous team.

But of course, XY has Korrina.

I'm actually gonna hold off until the games for hearing the rest of the soundtracks. Although I have an idea as to what they're going to be like with these games being remakes, I want to actually experience them as I'm playing the game which will probably be more of a rush. I've heard a handful of them already, but there's so many I've yet to hear and I can just imagine entering a new City/Route/Area and hearing the soundtrack in-game for the first time would be a much better experience.

The underwater theme is so good. I'm going to wind up just diving and sitting there listening to the music. I'm so in love with how these games look. I wish I could show this to my younger self when I first got Emerald. I would have lost my mind seeing how beautiful these games would look in the future.

I wonder if those who started with RG/B felt this way with FrLg, and those who started with GSC felt about HgSs... It makes me wonder how good DPP remakes may look in Gen 7/8.

I hope they keep the reflections of the stars from now on. Imagine how the night ocean will look in these games!

One thing I noticed with the underwater footage is that Wailmer gets its own sprite while the other Pokemon are just represented by... a blob, yeah. It's a similar thing to how Lapras got its own sprite while surfing in X & Y.

    I didn't.

I figured that they would do that. It's probably a bit much to make dive models for all the Pokemon that can dive.

Let's all take a moment to watch this amazing video courtesy of YouTube and just notice all the differences and how far we've all come since the original Hoenn games:

    Spoiler:

It's like so amazing how much more spacious Hoenn is in the remakes and the music sounds so much like the originals but with improved sound capabilities. You can just easily tell Game Freak did a huge job to please not just the major Hoenn fans, but almost the entire Pokemon fanbase possible.

I honestly didn't expect this, I'll just put it in the spoiler though it isn't one if you've watched the video above.

Well, just because he CAN use Mega Evolution by that point, it doesn't necessarily mean that he WILL, which was probably the case with Lysandre as well since I doubt he just spontaneously obtained the ability. And I know I for one wouldn't want to go around wearing that...thing that he had

Not saying that it absolutely wont happen, but it's worth keeping in mind. It's entirely possible that by that point Maxie/Archie wont see you as enough of a threat to warrant using it during your first battle or something along those lines.

You're right. However, I don't think it makes sense if he doesn't use mega evolution. Both characters even flash their mega stones in their first battle... It is possible that they won't use them, but I just don't think it's likely.

Besides, one trailer even showed Archie in meteor falls confronting the player with something along the lines of "you think you are the only one capable of using mega evolution?", which is before Mt. Chimney in the game (assuming ORAS follows the RS storyline, which is most probably the case)

I started with RBY and hated FRLG. :P IMO all the remixes of the RBY songs suck in FRLG. And the games themselves weren't as fun, IMO. But FRLG beats RBY in one very important thing: the playability of Charizard. After the Special split, Charizard had higher Sp.Atk and learned Flamethrower much earlier, and he became a powerhouse during the story. Back in the RBY days I favored Bulbasaur, but in FRLG I decided to go with Charizard and he was much improved from what I remember in RBY.

As for the remake of my most played gen (GSC), I've only played HGSS on emulator, but I didn't feel that nostalgic rush either. I thought it was a great game, except for the fact it kept a few of GSC's shortcomings. I mean, back then I thought Gold version was the greatest thing ever, and Crystal even better, but now I see some stuff which could have been improved in the games.

But the biggest thing that was lost to me, and made me not like the newer generations as much, was the social aspect. It's one thing to be able to connect to people via the internet; it's another entirely different one to meet with people in real life to play the games. I'm not 12 anymore, and I don't have close friends who are Pokémon enthusiasts. It's been like that for me since the RSE days, and I definitely miss those school times.

Yeah; as cool as it would be to have unique models of every single Pokémon who can swim and dive, it probably would be a bit much to ask GameFreak to make them, especially since its programmers just made 3D models of every single Pokémon for PokéDex 3D/PokéDex 3D Pro and Generation VI.
