I've got a question. I received the Eon Ticket and want to shiny hunt Latios. But my question, do I have to save before I talk to Norman or can I also save after I arrived on the island with that sailor? I hope my question is clear..
Lucky you, I wish I could get an Eon Ticket, what exactly did you do to get it?

I had my 3DS on standby when walking around cities or when I was travelling by train. Whenever I streetpassed someone with ORAS, you exchange data and when they have the Eon ticket, they automatically give you one as well.

The nature isn't fixed when you're headed towards the portal; it's determined when you encounter the Pokemon (when the battle starts).

Is this the same with being shiny? When you save before portals and soft reset, can you shiny hunt legendaries that way?

    Anyways, my question thing:
I just got a shiny kyogre in a giveaway, though I believe it is hacked as it was met in the cave of origin, and it's Shiny, although Kyogre is supposed to be Shiny-locked in ORAS (I believe). Could this potentially harm my game/do something bad?

Yeah I indeed recall that Kyogre, Groudon, Deoxys and Rayquaza are shiny locked in ORAS as far as I know. The Kyogre you obtained probably won't harm your game or do anything bad, even though it is probably hacked, since I think it was hacked to be shiny using Powersaves or some other AR device. Hacking shiny Pokemon is 'pretty harmless' for your game so it won't do anything, you can just use it anytime :)

Thanks, that's what I was unsure of, because I knew they were shiny locked, but I didn't know whether it was transferred or not, because I never played original Sapphire, or Alpha Sapphire for that matter (I got Omega Ruby, I won the Kyogre in a giveaway), so I wasn't exactly sure if Cave of Origin was also the place you encounter it in the Original games, though that answer clears my question up enough.

    Ah right, I see.
Anyway, just for anyone to answer, is there any (safe) thing online that can detect if there's an Eon ticket in your country/in a place near you?

Sure no problem, you're welcome :) Well btw, you encountered Kyogre in the Cave of Origin too in Sapphire, but in Emerald you could catch it in Marine Cave. You can also check by viewing your Kyogre's stats, if there is a blue pentagon shape, then the Kyogre is from ORAS (or 'hacked' in ORAS, at least it means it's obtained in ORAS). :) If not, then it's also possible it's transferred from Sapphire/Emerald.

Regarding the Eon Ticket, unfortunately it's not possible to check online (at least that Im aware of) whether there is an Eon Ticket near you. You can only obtain an Eon Ticket if you pass by someone (when you have your 3DS with you, turned on and enabled Street Pass) who also has their 3DS with them (and turned on), via Street Pass. So I'd recommend if you go outside for example or go to a city, you take your 3DS with you, turn it on and put it in your bag or something, cause you might pass someone who also has their 3DS with them and has an Eon Ticket, so then you will get it from that person via Street Pass. That's how I got mine :)
I don't know where you're from, but I suppose it's possible now in pretty much any country to obtain the Eon Ticket through street pass from someone by now. Make sure to check your Key Items then, every so often when you took your 3DS outside with you, to check if you've obtained the Eon Ticket. ;) good luck!

I have a question about chain fishing. I have horrible luck and either keep losing my catchs or not getting bites. Do these break my chain or not? If they do, I need to know so I can just gna train a diffrent Feebas I dexnav'd with 3 stars, ha and confuse ray and not worry about finding a shiny.

I live in Ireland, if that makes any difference.

No idea if not getting bites affects it, but I'm quite sure that not getting bites does.
Anyway, on that route where you can catch Feebases (forgot which one it was), try fishing under the bridge, it has a 100% bite rate in there (that's what I heard somewhere anywhere, excuse me if I'm wrong).
That's all I can help you with, but good luck getting your shiny feebases :)

    UPDATE: It's route 119

i did not even know those places existed. this is awesome. any idea how i can get rid of the blissey bases i already have before using these? i like keeping everything in one place, haha.
You can delete the base at the computer within the base itself.

Thats where I'm fishing. Under the route 119 bridge during the day. For every few feebas I pull out, I get at least 2 or 3 castes without bites and 1 that I miss pulling out. Im gonna come back with more max repels and try to dexnav chain it better.

What's the point of the contest halls? I only just started competing in the contests and I won my first rank and now I can compete in the normal rank but I haven't left the first contest hall in Slateport, so can you just compete in all the ranks in any hall? If so, what's the point in having multiple halls, why not just have the one? Or do I have to get all the ranks in all the halls?

Beating all 5 contest categories, plus Lisia herself, is required to obtain the Lucarionite.

The four contest halls scattered throughout Hoenn is a remainder of the original Contest Halls in Ruby and Sapphire: they were originally divided by rank (Hyper in Slateport, Normal in Verdanturf, Super in Fallarbor and Master in Lilycove). In the remakes, all four ranks are available in the four Contest Halls, so depending on where you are in the game, you can just go to the nearest Contest Hall to compete in a contest if you feel like it.
