3rd Gen Which Kanto Gym Leader is your Favourite?

In terms of character, I think it would be either Blaine or Koga. The former being the hot-headed genius he is, and the latter had a rad Gym full of ninja trainers and invisible walls, which was different than a lot of them present to me.

I'm not much of a fan of these Gym Leaders, except for Misty I guess. But that's because she uses my fave type, so yeah that's why my bias is towards her.

Blaine. I love his Burn Heal comment! He's got a pretty solid team too. And like Pendraflare said too, he's a "hot-headed genius!" :D

Misty beats all. Because Misty is love and life all in one package.

That, and it seems like, at least in game canon, her personality would be fun to shape and reshape. :V

Giovanni. He's rich as hell, he has to be a very good business man in order to be able to fund Team Rocket and keep the organization under wraps. And to be a gym leader on top of all that? I don't think he ever sleeps! You can't when you're that successful.

Misty bcoz of i like water type also ?? haha (no, i like her style to battling & strong spirit of course to love her pokemon & friends & family..shes lovable kind a person .. i see ) Either Lt. surge hes stronger his electrifying !! haha :3

Honestly? Giovanni. As a Gym Leader, he's the only one that really gave me a challenge (both in the original Red, and the remake) before hitting up the Elite Four. Not to mention, he's the equivalent of having a mob boss as the frontman of a nationwide corporation.

FRLG: Misty > Sabrina = Koga > Erika = Brock > Giovanni = Lt. Surge = Blaine.

They were my childhood from Gen I, but none of them are part of my all-time favorites nowadays. I think I'll go with all the female Gym Leader.

1st is Blaine because in the manga,his story was just badass!!Former Rocket Scientist that created one of the strongest pokemon ever and even battled alongside Entei!
2nd is Koga because of his design.He just look badass on his ninja suit.Meanwhile in the manga,even he was a former villain he still managed to get on the good side.

My favorite is Erika! I've been smitten with her from a young age. She is a perfect beauty, a yamato nadeshiko of the highest order, if you will. I really love beautiful feminine women in gaming that are also powerful and cool.

I never really had a favorite gym leader from Kanto until recently. I've always sort of liked Sabrina and I still do, but now I totally favor Erika. I love Grass-types so that might be a factor, plus I just think she has such a neat character/design. Also, Celadon City is the bomb, with all of the shopping and the Game Corner it's like the Las Vegas of the Kanto region.

Erika because of her character especially in the manga. Also, Grass-type Pokemon used to be my most favorite types but still right now it's one of my most favorites.

While I liked Koga better in other games/forms of media, I'll go with Blaine as my favorite Kanto Gym Leader. Not only is he the original quiz master, but it's somewhat implied that he used to work with Mr. Fuji on Cinnabar Island, helping create both Mewtwo and Porygon.

Koga. That guy is so awesome, coz he is a freaking NINJA! Also he has a daughter too, and he entered the Elite Four once!

Blaine - he has one of the most interesting backstories as well as a fantastic personality. I also found his gym to be the most enjoyable out of the 8 Kanto gyms, when I first played through it (having never played a Pokémon game before LeafGreen at the age of 7) I was so happy when my limited Pokémon knowledge actually served a purpose in game!

Sabrina! I had an embarrassing crush on her when I was a little kid so I guess that kind of carried over as a soft spot as I grew up? Also I love psychic Pokemon so there's that, too!

I like Sabrina. Her FR/LG design was always cool to me, but I fell in love with her even more when I saw her HG/SS design. <3 Lt. Surge is also another favorite of mine. I adore his personality (especially in the anime xD).
