So it's cold out and all I have are low top Converses and Vans. How smart. Needless to say, my feet are cold.

Anyways, what's your favorite type of footwear? Any favorite brands? What footwear do you hate?

As you could tell from above, I prefer to wear canvas sneakers. Converse and Vans are my favorite brands because they look nice and feel comfortable. Though going on long walks with them isn't exactly ideal. I hate wearing boots. They always feel so clunky and look huge on my skinny legs.

  • I used to wear a lot of converse shoes! I still have a pair of chucks somewhere with Kurt Cobain's drawings on them.

I mostly wear boots now. High riding boots, and short ankle booties. I really enjoy sandals in summer with lots of straps and such, and occasionally ballet flats. I also have a pair of combat boots that look distressed that I like to wear with pretty tops.

I don't really have a favourite brand or anything, I just like to buy quality boots/shoes. :)

  • Simple looking canvas sneakers for me, mostly Converse. No brand preferences, but they do last.

For some reason, I absolutely hate wearing sandals.

  • The only thing I wear as far as footwear goes are my DC Skateboard shoes. No, I don't skateboard. I just wear them because I have flat feet. I don't like athletic shoes because they are tight and constricting. I've always gotten DC shoes because I have great luck with them. I thought of getting some vans though... but I'm so used to DC shoes that it's not even funny. XD

I like Converse, although I have a pair of heavy boots for the winter. I don't wear them very often, but I wear them to the football when it's cold out. Keeps the feet roasty toastie!

  • Normally Trainers or Walking shoes/boots.

Love Wellington boots when out in the muck (espessualy Hunters, but I tend not to wear the hunters much because the break to easy). I Wear long Riding boots when riding (I think they look ace but I would look like a weirdo if I wore them everywhere) I also tend to get through them quick so haven't had nice leather ones in a while.

Love Steel toe caped boots as well. So yeah I love practical footwear mostly.

  • I mainly tend to wear sports or jogging shoes because I like footwear that gives me good support and I'm not one who enjoys the discomfort of sandals and flats, plus given I've now been getting the same brand (even the exact same type of shoe) for years now it's easy to see why I'm so adjusted to it.

I like Vans high top ~skater~ shoes. I have a pair right now and some Target brand shoes I don't use anymore (because they don't fit). Most of the time I find myself wearing slippers because I can't be arsed to put 'shoes' on sometimes. I swear my feet have grown like every fucking year. It's why I find myself having a hard time putting on my shoes alot because they feel too tight even if I loosen them. My shoe size is like 10.5 US size currently (I think if it's not 11 lmao).

  • I'm very much a canvas shoes person. I'm more of a fan of the van-ish type canvas shoes, but I also have a pair of converse sneakers that I like wearing. I also have a pair of Adidas shoes that I'm also really fond of.

Currently an NZ size 5 1/2 - 6ish which is pretty small going with my short height.

  • Sneakers and sandals.

Doesn't matter what kind, as long as they're comfortable. To be honest, sneakers are on there mostly because given the chance I'd wear sandals all year long if I could just because I prefer having my feet mostly bare like that. Feels less restrictive. The only problem is that certain seasons kind of say no to that ...

  • I normally wear Nike running shoes or Vans, depending on what I'm going to be doing in the day and if I care about how I'm going to look. Usually it's Vans for style and Nikes for business, but they can interchange with colours and stuff of that sort.

I absolutely cannot STAND slide shoes.

  • In the summer it's strictly sandals/flippy floppies. It's too hot to wear shoes. Unless I'm going on some camping trip then it's understandable.

On other days I looooooove me some Chuck Taylor's. They are great shoes.

  • Skater shoes are my favourite, really. And I wear low-cut steel-toed leather boots as well. When it's flooded raining or it's snowing I bring out my combat boots though, but that's yet to happen since I've been back in the Carolinas.

I'd really like some sandals for the Piedmont summers. I should get on that, I'd own something like that lol

  • I wear flats most of the time, particularly on my way to and from work (I change into a pair of heels at work). I find they meet the requirements of comfort for walking and being appropriate with business wear. I cannot stand seeing women on the train wearing sneakers with their business attire... just no, ladies. I just buy cheap black ones (I strive to pay no more than $10 a pair) because the quality of a $10 flat vs. $70 is not much difference. It's very hard to stuff up a flat shoe. On the other hand, I will pay more money for heels because they need to be well designed to fit your foot and not cause back problems or blisters.

I don't own many pairs of heels - just the basic ones to get me by. I have a pair of black mary-janes (the pair I keep in the office), a standard black heel, a brown pair and a cream pair. I'm not as infatuated with shoes as many other women, so I have a fairly small collection that just ensures I have something to wear with various colour combinations. My left foot is also slightly larger than my right foot (yay me), which makes finding a good fit in heels extra hard.

I rarely wear my sneakers (ugh, shoe laces...) simply because I tend to wear dresses or skirts at least 90% of the time. I have religiously bought Dunlop sneakers due to being well priced and Australian, but since being bought out I'm not sure what sneakers I'll buy to replace the current pair... if I even do.

I'm really simple when it comes to shoes. I own 4 pair. 1 for work, because I step in mud, and they get dirty, 1's for sporting, and 2 switch as my main pair. They're nothing special, and I don't do anything special with them. I'm really simple when it comes to the appearance of my feet.

  • I have a complex set of criteria for choosing footwear:

    1. It has to fit
    2. It has to last

That's basically it. Of course I wouldn't wear anything extreme, but if it fits those two, there aren't many complaints.
