Majora's Mask 3D

The old thread died, but hopefully the hype hasn't! Here's a new thread, which I hope stays alive at least until release date.

I can't wait for the game. I was waiting for its announcement for over a year, I just knew it was coming, I'm pretty hyped because it was so fun when I first played it and I think it's my favourite Zelda game yet.
I think I might get the collector's edition :). The only issue might be the price.

I'm actually very exited for this. I've never played the original game before, so I'm happy to see a remake on a newer platform.

I'm excited for this despite having never played it. I'm going to have to grab Ocarina Of Time 3D and Majora's Mask 3D at some point. Haven't played either of them and now seems like the best time to do so!

It'll be nice to finally be able to play this on a system that doesn't constantly reset itself. I was going to hold off on getting this for awhile, but with the way OoT3D's price has spiked recently (thanks, Gamestop) after sitting at $40 for so long without budging I'm not taking any chances on missing it and having to go digital.

I never played the original Majora's Mask for more than an hour previously, so I'm pretty excited for this version. I'll also be getting the New 3DS the day the game comes out, so that's cool.

I've refrained from buying the N64 Majora's Mask because I don't have the expansion pak (but I picked up Perfect Dark, so how's that logic for you?) so I'll definitely be picking up MM3D. I haven't played the game much at all. I have it on the GCN Collector's Edition, but it's always been a hard game for me to play. With the added features making it more player friendly though, I think now's the perfect time to play so I'm looking forward to it!

Majora's Mask is literally my second favorite Zelda game of all time, so this is like a godsend to me. =3

I just hope that the Razor Sword isn't as useless as before, because that would be a complete waste of an otherwise epically-designed weapon. xD

Same, to both, lol. I am SO excited to get MM and the new 3DS XL at basically the same time.

And seriously. Upgrading the sword takes ages to do, and it looks super cool! -- but it wasn't really "worth" the effort for anything other than aesthetics, imo. It did a bit more damage, but it wasn't enough to really notice a difference.

I'm interested in seeing what kind of monstrosity we can fish out... but wait, there's no more room for any extra heart pieces! That makes me wonder how they're gonna reward us for fishing... IF they reward us. xD

You didn't lose the upgraded sword if you did the whole 3-day process, only if you missed a step.

Considering the WHOLE process takes until the final day to finish and finishing the race in time to bring him the powder was a pain in the ass in itself... I would've been pretty pissed off if it vanished when I went back to the beginning.

Oh, I was actually referring to the Razor Sword itself, because I eventually got sick of seeing the Gilded Sword for 3+ playthroughs. xD (Nothing against the Gilded Sword of course, as it's still pretty cool.)

But yeah, I agree that losing the Gilded Sword would be even more painful... maybe even ragequit inducing LOL.

Right, right.. different names, lolol. That one can actually dull, too, so you don't even need to reset the clock to lose it. :c

But yeah, losing the final one probably would have made me quit. :v

That makes me wonder if Grezzo has any plans to preserve all of the glitches again, just like in OoT 3D. Why? Because I recall that there was a very complicated exploit in MM in which you could permanently "store" a different sword on each form of Link (Goron, Zora, etc.), and you could somehow swap your swords by performing a different exploit... I don't even remember how it works, so I would have to look it up again if I wanted to explain it. xD Either way, it's not worth performing, so I hope that MM 3D will give us full access to all three swords, haha.

I will probably get the regular single game. Never played the game seriously when I had it for the Gamecube special disk (which I regret getting rid of it. I was only 6 ;~;) Oh well now is a new opportunity to try it for real. Same thing happened with me and OoT.

Yep, I believe they kept all of them except for the Forest Stage glitch, which prevented you from getting a Deku Nut upgrade if you missed it the first time around. In fact, there are even more glitches in the 3D version, but to my knowledge they're not really game-breaking unless you actually TRY to exploit them, haha.

Wow, didn't know you could play as Epona. xD Sounds pretty amusing, lol.

I've never played the original due to how I was intimidated by the 3-day time limit as a kid. Now that I'm older, I'm interested in playing it, but it requires an expansion pak for my N64, and while I got mine from DK64, it's been a long time, and I might've lost it somewhere. I've pre-ordered the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL, but I'm hesitant on planning to buy a physical copy of MM3D, because I'm not sure if it was mentioned that it'll have the remake pre-installed in the New 3DS XL's menu for me.
