This message only appears when you try to surf at the cyclying road but if it appears everywhere, that's some serious stuff to fix... =/

EDIT: Already checked and tested, @blaze up seems you tried to surf into the cyclying road, Like I said, this message only appears when you try to surf there. If you surf at any other place, it will work normally. Pikachu surfing sprite is so funny xD

EDIT #2: I tested again. I know why that bug comes out but I don't know how to remove it yet. Gonna warn this into the main thread!

Hey, thanks for this awesome hack! Just one thing though: If you talk to the guy beside the Pokemon Center in Pewter City (he asks you if you've been to the mall), the game instantly freezes, regardless of your choice. We confirmed the issue exists in two separate instances of Visualboyadvance. Otherwise, we had no issues playing. My friend and I did a "spacebar speedrun" (we compete to see who can finish the game first while the speed is turned up) and loved the game. We had to quit after 8 straight hours though because we couldn't beat the elite four haha. Xenon is ridiculuous enough; we didn't even see Gary's final team...

Thanks you very much for pointing that out. The guy is the one next to the MART. The game only freezes if the player says "NO", then, the script that makes that guy bring you to the MUSSEUM doesn't happen because I relocated the person, but not the script.

The table you ask about can be found into the "README, PLS.txt". If you suggest to implement said table into the main thread, well it's a good suggestion. I'll do that as soon as I can.

In fact, there are two or three NPCs at Celadon City (the place where you get stones, what a coincidence! LOL) who suggest you what's the best level for evolutions with stones:
- The old man at Pokemon Center.
- The fat guy with his Poliwrath at Celadon City.
- The guy next to the elevator at the Dept Store floor where you buy stones.

Even final forms (not all of them, e.g. Victreebel, Arcanine) can learn useful moves at some level. E.g. Poliwhirl gets an useful move at level 38 and Hydro Pump at level 46 that can be replaced with Surf. Poliwhirl can be evolved at level 38 but Poliwrath won't learn anything, however it does learn Submission at level 46 and Lovely Kiss at level 52 if I remember correctly. So, better listen NPCs :)

ahah=) thats definetly what i was looking for=) im just sad i went for vulpix instead of the even stronger than usually growlithe;)!
i like very much the big empower you give to bug type!
a suggestion i can give to you ( dont know how hard to do) : change the ghost moves to special so gastlys family can make usage of the big present u give them(shadow ball)

entire region has basically turn into a giant maze of sorts...its meant for difficulty of course but its just seriously tedious especially in the beginning gameplay. I guess people don't realise this since everyone is playing with speed boost on their emulators.

and also the wild pokemon lvl is really too low for grinding.

im actually playing with no speed boost! i find this pretty slow, expecially the mn anna part! but its ok for the moment! actually im looking to exit rock tunnel! this is probably the second or third game where i find myself using items like potion,antidote etc!
And i dont agree with the level mons thing...level 20is ok when i have to farm my team to level 30! anyway all trainer have pokemon on higher level and give a big mass of experience!

Lol...man its a game...u talking like u have to save the world, actually i remember when i was a kid and it takes me days to end a game, nowadays i still can spend 1 month in ending 1rom! i dont care how long it takes, i can play 1-2hr a day and end it with fun.
If you think spending time with videogames is a waste of time and you need that time to do more "adult" things whats the difference between wasting 8h for reaching lt.surge or 8h to win the game? you are still wasting (from your pov) time.

I'm playing this game and I've found a bug, or at least I think it's one. When you go to the Casino and want to exchange your coins, some of the Pokémons are at lv 255 or 248, like Jynx, Bulbasaur or Aerodactyl, and yes, they have hiper stats XD

Oh, and if you go to Rock Tunnel with no Flash you gonna get stucked. I had to solve it via gameshark.

Great hack, by the way. Very challenging.

It's one of the most amazing rom hacks I've ever seen, really! Pokemon Yellow is my favorite pokemon game and finding a great hack like this is just like finding water in the desert: it's awesome!

I just want to point one thing: The maze thing is a little weird sometimes... I wish the cities wouldn't be a maze... but I am ok with things like Silph Co and Rock Tunnel being a maze... but the cities shouldn't been changed, it really makes the game playable only using speed boost.

Another issue: The rock tunnel can't be passed without flash, it's just impossible, and you blocked HM05 path... I had to use gameshark to get the HM05 :(

And... I wish it was even harder, for really expert and competitive players like me, it's not that hard, I am close to get my 8 badge and overall the challenge is just... ok, but the game is awesome! And oh, please, make ghost type attack SPECIAL, or else is just useless :(

Oh, I have one question: Can I update my ROM to the lastest rom without affecting my game save? I don't want to lose all my progress.

Anyway, I want to congratulate you again, it's a amazing game, I would even be willing to donate money on this one, it's a great addition to the original pokemon game, congratulations ! :) :) {XD}

Thanks for the feedback! Believe it or not, I've improved the EXP YIELD of every Pokemon, so they give actually good ammount of exp. E.g. Level 5 Caterpie in the original games will give 40 or less EXP points. In the final release, it gives more than 50 EXP points. I've tested myself grinding at the begining is a bit annyoing but things become easier if you do so at Viridian Forest. Butterfree/Beedrill/Pinsir gives away good EXP.
In the previous releases, I've made many things like big mazes. I don't know if you are refering to the last release, which I edited cities one more time. E.g. Celadon City was a pain in the ass in the previous versions but now it's back to normal, with the exception to use the pokeflute to reach the GYM.

I really think you still have an outdated release of my hack. Flash can be obtained normally! Read the "Main update" part. About the Casino prices, you're absolutely right only about Aerodactyl, it's got level 255 lol I'll try to fix that asap. Jynx and Porygon are OK instead (I've tested just now).

Your feedback is about a previous release of the game but that's OK :) Like I said before, in the final release FLASH can be obtained normally and it's actually better than before: 100% accuracy and decrease -2 the foe's accuracy.

You can update the ROM with no problem, it won't affect your saved game at all ;) just one thing, make a copy of your sav file before doing so. VBA sometimes messes up saves when the ROM is opened many times in a row (warning by own experience).

Making Ghost attacks into Special is a very good idea. I'm still trying to figure out how to do so. This change will be update much later...

By the way, do I have to do something special to encounter a Mew, or he does just appear randomly at wild?

The last version I played was 0.3 and if I remember correctly and nothing's changed about Mew's location since then, I believe she was obtainable in the very first area of the Safari Zone & it was extremely difficult to catch her (on par with Chansey).

In case you decide to go the easier route, the Gameshark code to make a wild Mew to appear is 0115D7CF.
