Yeah, there's definately a lot of stuff to read over. Anyway, how's the Crystal hack of your's coming along? My Gold hack is doing pretty good, but I'm having some trouble with repointed tilesets....

Well, I guess you're right! Although, other than the GFX in tilesets, most of the tilesets are in the same location in Gold. I tried hacking Crystal a little while ago, but I had a hard time figuring out how to add the GFX in the expanded Crystal tilesets into the game. You do get what I'm saying, right?

Well, good luck on your hack! Anyway, tell me if the tileset graphic pointers for Crystal is the same for Gold. I was thinking about possibly making a hack of Crystal myself....

Read all the documents you can, and go through old forums and new forums. Experiment with the game and try ROM corruption to learn where data is located.

Err....I know how to do it with Gold Version, but as for Crystal, I might be able to! Just search for a pointer to 18A00 and change it to point to something else. If that works, tell me.

Yeah, if you need help with repointing the tilesets, I can help with that. It's actually pretty easy!

Yeah, that's true! I've never heard of a Crystal hack that actually got into a beta stage. It probably is a lot harder to hack, with all the GFX, and all the other stuff, but it'd be awesome when it's finished! As for me, I'll stick to Gold ;)
