He's immune to natural death, at least. Whether starvation falls into that or not, I've no idea. Plus, he's probably gotten fruit or fish at other points too, otherwise his hunger would've caused him to die in that fight.

Wasn't he cooking a rat? Or maybe this 50 years thing contributes to his survival too.

So what'd you think about the new Jack?

I don't know why this made me laugh harder than it should've. XD

I feel Nikki Minaj looks prettier as Sugilite, too. XD

I shall miss your Jack avatar, good sir.
Yeah, that's true. But I like to take the best of both worlds - watch the original up to Lab 5, then switch over to Brotherhood.
On one hand, I agree with you - the plot doesn't really take off until that quest takes front and center. However, what's so crucial about that beginning section is it hammers home the main characters' personalities and establishes emotional stakes. Those beginning episodes are the fuel that sustain the rest of the show. And yeah, there's a few filler episodes in the beginning, but they still address the show's thematic elements and develop Ed and Al as characters.

...but when comparing the episodes after Laboratory Five, Brotherhood wins by a mile. No question.
Yeah, it was just okay in my opinion. It's interesting to compare the two series and see how they handled what they had to work with. The first one, I felt, did the beginning justice whereas Brotherhood just rode on its coattails and skated through that section of the story.
I saw the whole thing through. It ended radically different, with Ed going to the "real world" in the middle of WWII for some reason. I forget the details.

Went to a baseball game again, I presume? XDDDDD
Good point, but I was skeptical of his presence at first. Maes Hughes was another favorite if mine... RIP.
