Yes. 8D During our first lesson of Paleontology I held a rock in my hand that was about 3,6 billion years old. It felt kind of special. (That is about the oldest age a rock can have when found. Anything older is most likely burried to deeply, melted in the mantle, destroyed by impact/erosion or other violence during the Earth's growth)
Also during Paleontology we see fossils from the first animals and plants. ^_^ So the things we see are pretty old.
I have no idea, actually... I know it might sound silly, but I have no clear vision of what I'm gonna do in the future. I wish to see the world, so I'd like to do something that takes me to all 4 corners of the planet.
Well, I can say they've always fascinated me. As a child, I loved reading books about Dinosaurs (who didn't?) and the Universe. I loved to look at Minerals, they're so pretty. XD
But it wasn't until 2 years ago (when I had to choose what I should be doing) that Geology caught my eye. Originally I planned to do Biology or something.. but Geology was sooo much more interesting and my thing that I aborted that plan immediately.
Also, if my math's and physics weren't so bad, I might have opted to do Astronomy.
