  • Not to be Mr. Grumpy again, but I'd like this to be the one profile at PC that doesn't involve really stupid jokes. Excuse my lack of a sense of humor, internet humor is just something I've never quite understood and I'm not really motivated to make an effort to understand it...especially the Mudkip joke. I'm sorry but that makes Bush look smart.

Hehe, I have bigger fish to fry right now though than our government figures, like mt ciencias (science) teacher who just...I'm sorry, I just HATE science. History FTW!

Also, if making friends were a competition, I assure you I would come in last...as far as quantity is concerned. I prefer to have good friends rather than having a lot.
I agree with you, E-Vire is awful, its soo easy to predict it coming in, even when it gets a motor drive, its still walled by half the metagame. I think its usage was high because people all people saw was "Zomg Bolt-Beam punches ? Cross Chompzors and EQ, zomg ubar !!11" In reality its lol tbh, Flamethrower/Thunderbolt/Hidden power Ice or grass/Cross Chop E-Vire is an improvement, but its still bad..

I use both Raikou and Suicune, really should be used more they still pwn when you get sp.walls out of the picture, Cune doesnt need sp.walls out of the picture, it still beats most of them. Lack of instant recovery is bad though. Cune NEEDS Recover.

Cradily is decent however, ive never had a problem with using it myself, ive aways found that its worth its spot on my SS team....

Milotic and Regice are again both awesome, Regice had a few weaks that are common, Milotic, if Grass Knot didnt hit it for base 100 power, i think it would be a staple on most teams to beat up Mixape.

Gyarados is an aweful lead, 5 of my 8 losses came when i used that thing as a lead on wifi =/, its too slow and just gets pwned by other common leads, this is in regards to BulkyDos btw, its suppose to be used primarily defensive, but it cant even do that due to SR, and it cant sweep as its slow as hell 334 AFTER A DD, CB is so much better tbh, better coverage and more power in less time. Ive used CB Gyara a couple of times on Wifi, 2hkod a Dusknoir with Waterfall and ohko'd a Mence with ice Fang AFTER an intimidate, i hope CB Gyaras usage will be going up. Ive heard people praise BulkyDos so much, but i cant see why its good , ive had my good moments with it, dont get me wrong, but most moments have been "mediocre" Taunt is predictable aswell, *sigh*

I dunno why T-Tar isnt used more either, i know it has an annoying trait, but SO many teams are weak to it, look at how many team in S&M, that i have to point out "Your team is t-tar weak, get a bulky ground type", astounding, considering its movepool is so huge. I know Machamp, hera, Gallade, lucario are common, but still, it wrecks stuff when played right.

There are a lot of underated pokemon, but i think usage of them will be going up and down as the metagame changes, look at tentacruel for example, it has been uu in most gens, but this gen along came Mixape and Toxic Spikes, and tenta suddenly had a purpose.
It has been that way for awhile. I haven't logged onto Netbattle or Shoddy to actually battle probably in about a month. I might have had a few battles here and there, but very few. Battles on Shoddy are usually to test out movesets I come up with, nothing more.

Shoddy was fun at first but became torture quickly. I learned a lot about the metagame though which certainly helps with rating.

I can't believe how many good pokemon aren't used. I know Suicune isn't what it used to be, but it can still sweep so many teams, as can Raikou. I know times have changed and blah blah blah from Advance, but so many pokemon have practically been thrown under the bus.

Then we have those that I don't know why people use so much. I'm sorry, but Electivire never deserved the usage it got. I remember when I ran that Mantine team, and Vire would get Motor Drive boosts all the time and it would still just be awful. Then again, its usage has plummeted (unless things have changed since...not battling).

I also have a beef with Cradily, but I know people will come in with all of these damage calculations saying how uberly awesome it is. I'm sorry, but it is SO easy to stall its brains out. Cradily just prolongs a battle and doesn't really do anything. It is like Blissey without any way at all to inflict damage. Let's not forget a weather change sinks it.

Back to underrated pokemon, I'm surprised Milotic and Regice have fallen off the map so much. I mean, in all my times on shoddy I only saw 3 Regice and about 5 Milotic...and I've battled a lot. For those who think Blissey is too OU and all that, Regice is a very good option. SR really hampers it, but it has some pretty cool capabilities.

Also, I have a beef with people who lead with Gyarados. It's an awful lead, I'm sorry. DD! Weezing comes in! Thunderbolt! They probably wouldn't stay in, but that Gyarados has accomplished nothing. CB Gyarados is awesome though. I wish people would use that.
    That no one ever was.

To catch them is my real quest, to train them is my cause.

I will travel across the land, searching far and wide

Each pokeon will understand, the power that's inside...

    That's all I remember.
Yuck, I'm done with battling, any generation. I still occasionally Netbattle, but not even close to as much as I used to. I find rating a lot more fulfilling these days.

My style really works against me in DP, and I'm not very good battling with the attack mentality.

However, I suggest running Explosion Azelf with a Raikou. you sweep stuff like crazy. I can actually use that strategy with decent success, otherwise I fail at sweeping things.
If I see one more reference to that awful, "funny" internet saying "doo j00 kiek Mudkipz" I will blow up. I'm not trying to be all grumpy but it is really annoying. I can't believe people find that funny or amusing at all.

And I'm a team rater, not a profile rater :P
I'm sorry but I'm one to go against fads.

Expect a green profile tomorrow :)

Also Cradily is very overrated. Yes, I know I think everything is overrated but a lot of things are!
Which is WHY I liek using teh Infernape, alwayz teh pwnz rightt?? Yea, some Pokemon made in this gen are actually too easy to abuse, aren't they? Namely Infernape/Electivire

OK... SERIOUSLY NOW WHY IS EVERYONE USING RED IN THEIR PROFILE? Has it already become somewhat of a .... I dare say, fad?
Not using a certain pokemon should never be taboo, and if it is I am leaving this site and pokemon forever :(

Eh, so many things tick me off about today's metagame. I've pretty much stopped playing all generations, it isn't fun like it used to be.

Is it just me or did DP ruin the metagame? Now I know the haters are going to come in, but hear me out.

Special attackers have become so powerful that about the only truly reliable wall is Blissey, so its usage is even more obese than she is. Other walls need a bit of support and are much tougher to use.

On the physical side, you pretty much need three pokemon to really wall out physical attacks since there isn't a Blissey of physical walling and Skarmory isn't as powerful as people think it is.

Not only that, but some sweepers like Lucario and Infernape run more than one set and can pretty much obliterate any counter switching in expecting another set. Then they have potential to sweep your team. For example, if Swampert switches into Infernape expecting a CB variant and it uses NP, you're in a lot of trouble.

Now we also have Scarfs and Specs, making things pretty complicated as far as going about beating things is concerned. Sweepers have become so powerful and diverse while walls have very few new tools to work with.

Sweepers dominate the metagame, and I'm so mad when I'm beaten by an obviously inferior player who just uses an overwhelming amount of powerful sweepers you can't possibly counter.

In other words, too much offense for me.
You know my color scheme isb etter...considering you can actually see the names :0
