I don't mind the character at all, really. I say write the SU now, post it when it's done and then my Co-GM and I will discuss it. I am sure there would be only minor complaints if any at all.

As far as Sir vs Ser...I'm not picky. Probably Ser since I made parts of Hyrus gender equal.

Yeah, pretty much you got it. If the character had some renown or ability the monks would have seen them and recruited him/her accordingly. That is the only real...uhh...requirement I guess.

We call them "Knights" but they are not necessarily "Sers." As long as you join that side, we are all good.

Well depending on how quickly the RP advances (in terms of the Knights plotline), your character can come with either as a ship captain or something that the Monks employ to help out the Knights on their journey or as a character that happens to be in Shingou (their next location *spoiler alert*). Whatever you prefer.
