I was accepted into the college I want to attend so I have been busy getting that ready. I will be moving in July cross-country so I can attend this fall.

Oh wow! I'm not fond of cold weather but I prefer it over scorching hot weather.

It is supposed to get up to 75 F by Friday. It's funny considering we had snow last night :P

now, wait. I think you are generalizing the term quest to mean, do whatever I ask of you and do it fast. Your game seems very ... how do i say ... quest-ionable. I don't want to bad mouth it because i don't know everything, so I feel that I should not have a part in the plotting stages. Why don't you just instruct me on what you need done in the programming field

well, what it looks like is that you want to incorporate a type of sims Pokemon game, and I need to break the news. The only reason Sims is so successful is that it is such a clean state. When you try to incorporate a running combat system, with a social system, with an exploration system, you are either going to get very small amounts of everything, or one object is going to be crushing the rest.

Try to find the MAIN focus of the game. what feature of the game do you want everyone to notice and feel is the best. With Ocarina of Time, it was the landscaping. With Super Mario Galaxy, it was the anti-gravity app. you understand. You end up suffocating the part you love by trying to throw on unnecessary things. try, instead of tackling on everything in one game, make a bunch and focus different aspects for each one.

Ok, as I was reading your stuff, I instantly backtracked to a game idea of my own, and I have no qualms with you using it, just so long as I don't get sued for using it in later games if this game goes well, lol, just kidding.

Have you ever played Amazon Trail? It is a sister game to Oregon Trail. In it, you travel down the Amazon River learning about the nature and the history and the animals in it. It was amazing, and far better than the successful Oregon Trail.

The reason I am bringing it up, is that the game had a feature where you could move to a screenshot to take photos of wild-life, collect fruits and berries, and learn about the wildlife. We could include this as well, where the player doesn't need to battle Pokemon to get them on the Pokedex. The player could snap a photo of them using the camera app on the Pokedex. You could also have a Print app that lets you keep the photos in real-life, though that bit is a tad out there. This method would give people a more passive way of learning about Pokemon, without battling them. You can also use bait and rocks without being in the Safari zone, this is to provide a more open and controllable feel. Coax them with bait and avoid battling all together. Or maybe you want to scare off a Pokemon you don't want to deal with in battle.
