I've wanted to leave 'Cosmo for a long time now. There's nothing that can change my decision. The forum can burn in hell, I don't care. As I said, without me, the forum is truly nothing.

Nothing. I want to go somewhere I can post in peace without being badgered and always be chosen to fight because my word is law. I have PokéCommunity and BulbaGarden to be among the people, but I guess my friends and I are destined to rule with each other some more. I went in search of greener pastures and found them. Join if you want, I don't really care. But I do insist that you boycott 'Cosmo if you accept the fact that I beat you in that argument. Sure, you could be throwing away a moderator/administrator position, but in the end, being staff on that forum is more like a curse than a privilege.

Geez. Lots and lots of drama going on with boards nowadays. (But hey, at least the exodus and subsequent wankery over at PFU was over something fairly valid, I think.) In any case, I'm not sure what's going on with Pokecosmo, but to be perfectly honest, I have to say, "Holy crap." Although Oni and I are off and on friends, "You must understand, without me, this forum is finished"? Buh? You just need one competent, active admin to run a forum because then, that competent, active admin will get competent, active staff. That competent, active admin doesn't need to be anyone in particular as long as he's competent and active. But you probably already know this; I'm just responding to Oni's comment here.

(And I totally didn't tl;dr the rest. Man, I need more sleep. Or more time lurking on Cosmo.)

I'll have to agree. When I first joined Crater, it was an addictive way to kill time, but after awhile, it just got annoying. Point, click, wait for the page to load (and it always seemed slow to me), so even moving across the map to search for more Pokemon was the slowest, most tedious process ever. Not to mention I never liked how canon moves didn't do what they did in the games, so you had things like an underpowered Psychic, a damage-dealing Sand-Attack, and a Hidden Power that had to have been the best move ever. (I swear to God, my Unown was better than the rest of my team because of that.)

Sorry about the rant. Point is, yeah, I'll have to agree there. It was really crappy compared to the actual games.

Thanks. And to tell you the truth, you actually pose a good question. You'd think he'd have the site go the way of Crater if he's not interested in running it, especially since I know his hosting and domain packages aren't cheap. Ah well.

Voluntary leave. Lengthy rant is here, and that should really explain the first part of the saga.

Second part started with the fact that, when I wrote the above lengthy rant, I closed down the board using the maintenance feature and told Shining Arcanine not to reopen it unless he planned on actually doing something with it. Otherwise, he has no board because he's got all of two staff members left, and both of them are only mod level. However, he completely blew off everything I had to say and reopened the board two days later without any changes. I got pissed off that he blew me off yet again, so I came back, stripped myself of the title, and told him to take his board and shove it. (Hilariously enough, he responded indirectly by saying he never checks the board unless he wants to show off his coding to someone else.)

Drama, yes, but a long story short, I felt I was tossing decent time into a black hole because the leadership there sucks. I wouldn't recommend going there now because it's probably only going to get better. I'm not kidding when I say that all of two people are active mods there. The rest have either been inactive before I left or left because I did.

Just PM space at the moment.

But a private board and larger avatar space are in the works.
