Well, I wasn't approached by anybody regarding that post with the acception of people who disagreed with it. As you can understand, members of staff aren't exempt from the rules, and seeing as how so many staff members responded to that thread after the outbursts, administrators included, I didn't receive any warnings (which for me, would've been displayed in my user notes). So breaking the rules wasn't anything I did at all. All I did was call her a drama queen and state that some members are pathetic, which many people post (regardless of if they're a member themselves). But all in all, I do understand why you feel the way you do and you're right that moderators shouldn't be displaying things like that. Not saying I regret it, though. I love putting noobs in their place like that.

On communities such as PC, where moderators are encouraged to show that they are members just like anyone else, voids that. Moderators here like to show that like everyone else, they're members here. They don't want to be framed as strictly moderators. If you viewed Other Entertainment, you'd see that I keep a pretty tight leash on that section. If you compare my posts from my visitor messages, you'd see that I'm a completely different person to when I have to do my work and to when I interact with members alike. It isn't all serious business.

I don't see how I did anything wrong, as I've stated. Like I said, I wasn't going to sugar coat my opinion for her, or anyone else. Especially if she's so aware of how things are run around here. After all, she clearly knows more about being a moderator than I. Otherwise, she wouldn't have offered her input to how I moderate. It's only logical.

I standby what I said, however, regarding my belief of some members being pathetic. I didn't mention any names, but regardless, I believe people who go about whining like that about one thread being locked are kind of pathetic. There are much more important things and more reasonable situations to go whining over. I wasn't going to sugar coat the truth from her, either. I said it how I felt it and neither regret it, nor the consequences that came from that came from my comment to her. I don't see the need to reply nicely to her when she goes and calls me the bad guy when all I did was do my job.

Though you and a few others disagreed with my comment to her, many of the staff members felt the same way as I did as I've spoken to them in regards to it and they can understand why I responded in the way that I did. From what I can tell from what you're saying, you can understand why I said what I did to her, but you just disagree with the way I went about it.

The thing is, I didn't even warn her by giving her a formal one. I locked this thread, and she responded by flaming me through a reputation comment telling me how to do my job and explaining to me that that thread shouldn't be locked, despite that being a thread in my own section. Surely you can understand why I went about it the way I did when I told her not to tell me how to do my job through a visitor message (which was my warning to her, actually) and her going in a public forum and saying how horrible of a moderator I am. I wasn't just going to sit there and smile at it.

But I'd hardly call you saying what you did flaming. Though I didn't agree with what you said because I believe I'm one of the better moderators here at PC, and as do others apparently, you were just voicing your opinion.

Just because you disagree with the way I moderate, much less reply to such people, doesn't mean I don't like you. What's a forum without disagreement? Having everyone agree with me just because they think they'll get in trouble for disagreeing with me defeats the purpose of a community.
