yeah, like, the only way to get lv 30ish pokés atm is to go deep into mt mortar (according to serebii) as lake of rage route is all 'teen' level pokés and you cant get past mahogany town just yet.. =/ any ideas people?

Gym Leader Levels Just as a general interest, has anyone else noticed that there seems to be nowhere good for training for the gyms in johto? For example, im up to olivine city, and jasmines pokés are lv 30&35, but the route before olivine is about lv 14-17 and after is something like 11-24 only.

What the hell is IVs and EVs? I've been playing pokemon on handheld religeously scince its release, and have never come accross these.

Hi, I'm running a mac OSX 10.6.2, and VBA 1.7. I haven't experienced any sound distortion. I know it sounds an obvious question, but are you referring to game sound from the emulator? If so, what OS/version of VBA are you running, and what ROMs? Also, is it specific ROMs, or all?

well, thanks for the input, but its really got me stumped. the ROM is clean. works fine prior to patching. save type is 128k. =s and well, duh, ryuk is a *kinda* living legend

Help? Patched my FireRed ROM. Opened ROM. Worked ok(ish) Just went in a cycle. screen1 (Gamefreak screen)-1st menu screen ('Press start' screen). Help, I'm confused?!?

Hi, just to say. I have used the exact version of Ruby ROM, and have applied the .ips file. My save IS set to 128k, but I still have a white screen, any ideas?
