In Chinese tradition,the seventh month in general is regarded as the Hungry Ghost Month (or 7th month), in which ghosts and spirits, including those of the deceased ancestors, come out from the lower realm. the deceased are believed to visit the living.

We normally just burn incense paper and joss sticks for our ancestors and the other 'good brothers' to show our respect for them. However, there are many myths and weird occurence from a lot of people, especially those who don't regard it or step on those offerings or eat them. Even singing songs alone is strictly discouraged. Picking up money is also discouraged.

Like we always say, its better to be safe then sorry.

No, I don't watch horror movies at all. They just freak the shyyyt out of me. I am just too scared of them.
