Dude, let me tell you right now: those aren't the friends that are worth it. That's part of why HS was so hard for me, too. You like what you like. Be who you are and who you're comfortable with being. And if they don't like or agree with that? Screw them. Seriously. You'll find people who you can get along with if you stick with who you are and you'll INSPIRE others to do the same. Sure, you'll be criticized for it and other things. It'll be tough. But, stick to your guns, dude. Trust me on that. I kick myself for just learning that now. It's affecting my feelings on school and life in general right now. TRUST me on this.
