Thanks for the compliments. I think I just picked up tips from romance writers outside the Pokemon fandom. The weird thing about this fandom is that we're good at a lot of fic, but when it comes to romance, we tend to write things a bit differently. In other fandoms, there's that problem still, but you're more likely to find awesome -- and not just decent -- romance fic (or smut fic, for that matter) if the fans are older. *shrug* Maybe it's just me, but in any case, some of the best romance fics I've seen were Harry Potter fics because the writers were old enough to have been in a few relationships or at least to know what would actually be a turn-on. (Romance writers in this fandom just seem to write just for the sake of putting two characters together, rather than because they want to see hot and steamy. It's hard to explain, but it's just different to be writing romance in this fandom for some reason.)

Yeah, I know I said I'm a sap for getting X and Y together, but when it comes to writing something, I've gotta feel something about it, you know? And sometimes, the only way I can feel something with a fanfiction is if I write about sex. Maybe it's just going overboard to get the same warm and fuzzies from reading someone else's fluff.

As for other romance stories, I'll have to dig around for something that isn't either crap or smut, but I think I can produce something. Maybe I'll post it later. =3
