  • xP I would like doing that.

Yeah you do. I was lucky to have my mom make me an email at a very young age and for some reason before D&P came out I was constantly on Serbii memorizing the names of all the new Pokemon. Then I saw forums and I joined then I joined here.
I hate to break it to you, but you are. All of this has just been an act, sorry to say.
Eh I guess. Actually we were using graphing calculators but it was really easy stuff we could do in our head. xD Ohh I would like using them like that!

xD You're legendary because... Well I dunno. You left in... 05 or 06 right? I was nine when I joined in 08 so when you left I was... I was... Oh my. I was like 7 or 6. xD
I'm not even sure I'll get the chance to do math this year. I've done good in all the class work we've been doing but sometimes I can forget some basic formulas. Or how to turn a decimal into a fraction. I seriously can't remember. But I will be doing Algebra in at leaast 8th grade if I stay in the advance classes, I've got no reason to stop now. Don't worry I won't be looking forward for any of that hard and complicated stuff. you sound like Gai from Naruto

Manning chairs is a job for the Chairman! And baby steps is futile! You've been staff before and I bet they're discussing bringing you back right now. Or at least discussing you!

Look at the changes they made to the staff forum. http://www.pokecommunity.com/blog.php?b=10666
Yeah, that happens a lot. But considering your return has send much of the PC regulars into a tipsy it can't be helped to be flooded with long and carefully crafted messages. XD

That's true. But my personality is more inclined to weather things off and be meek in the face of such adversity and try to resolve things diplomatically. But as with everyone my dark and primitive emotions come out and just explode. *sigh*

I really can't wait to go to college. At least there I can satisfy my hobbies and the fandom.

This particular scene in a certain manga had a long lasting influence subconsciously I believe tom my current career goal of becoming a General Physician with a Masters in Public Health. xP

That aside I feel kinda sad that you got bored with Politics. That's the thing that activists I met like to point out. People get burned out and become cynical towards life. xD
I belive I can do that kinda math already. It can get hard but for some reason it's easier for me than basic math. My brain is so weird. I would rather solve x than multiply two digit numbers. xD Calculus, I dunno if I could actually do that. I'm not all that great at math and I would rather be doing language classes already. -_- But I have to wait for 8th grade.

Thanks for actually talking to me. *thumbs up* You're a cool guy. I hope you have fun around PC and in real life. Seriously, you're awesome. I hope they mod you again. Or even admin you cause you're the chairman!
Well you might be having it more since Australia doesn't own Vegemite any more. We probably banned it.

I heard the schooling systems in Countries like Malaysia and Sweden are one of the best, though the latter has better internet services. :P

I would have preferred pre-algebra in year 7 instead of long division. It was never used in years 8-12 for Maths... well I'm not sure about the smarter maths classes in year 11/12.
You know what it seems you are much more inclined to reply to TL;DR chats that are intellectually stimulating that I used to do than the standard fluff of smiles and kisses that I employ in short chats.

As such I'll reply to your reply in the more appropriate fashion.

Well 5 VM's being ignored does seem cold and calculating in the endeavors for time efficiency, but alas I have to admit this is the first time I am really putting an effort to get through to contacting someone in the midst of a communications deluge. But hey, we gotta start somewhere eh?

But yes, reading through your essay/thesis like post almost brought me to tears (probably because I'm also watching Dennou Coil but that's another story) and made me realize that no matter how much I consider my Mom specifically to be very dictatorial and controlling with all the violent fights we engage in, there is still someone out there that is having a harder time than me, albeit with similar circumstances. Although I have been supported verbally with my Higher Educational goals, the use of monetary incentives as leverage to bend me to whatever will they want is not something that I really want to go through. But alas going against her wishes to go to UC Berkley and instead go to UCLA for the free ride has really strained our relationship further. *sigh*

As for your PC life, your description (and the posts you have made before) do attest to your assertion of being a generally nice person online. I really hope to build upon this and such since your interests is quite similar to mine for some odd reason. xP

As I said before, I can do Mathematics, but it seriously does not interest me. I rather get the perkk and "hyper" feeling with things like PoliSci, Economics, or specifically US History. xD

Anyways, I do apologize for being like this. Me, like the rest of PC is still very happy to welcome you back.
I would have studied world history in year 11 and 12 but I loved drama and TAD. I would have given up biology in a heartbeat to study it but there wasn't any timetables that could have made it possible. :( But it was pretty fun to know that Australia had it's first taste of an American hotdog during WWII :P

I live in Queensland, Australia. The education system here is soo bad that I didn't even learn algebra until year 10. It's the worst State in Australia to receive an education, and I don't even know why our State's motto is "the smart state".
I still think I can't reply in thread so I'm gonna do it here. :D

I'm still in OVP. Although I haven't been modding it the full five years. I was actually promoted to s-mod the day you left! Then I was AA for a bit. Then I left staff due to moving for the millionth time and lack of Internet. And then I was re-modded to OVP last August. Been there since.

I've almost always been of the mindset that off-the-Internet life should take priority over PC. In the end, PC itself is just a website.

Thanks! :D Persona 4 is one of my favorite games ever. I've had this avatar for like a year now, lol. I should probably change it eventually.

Also, I have no idea if you remember this, but I wanted to thank you for suggesting me for OVP mod and for letting me pester you with a million questions. I have no idea why you thought so highly of me, because looking back I was still such a noob. XD I don't know how I survived modding back then!
Now that all the "OMG ALAN!!!" stuff is out of the way...
Soooooo I'm thinking about getting active on CAG over vacation week. :x
Schools are in need of History teachers considering all the idiots that said "karma is a *****" with all the stuff that happened to Japan.

If I was learning in a different State I probably would have learned a lot more stuff in all subjects. I'm not going to blame my A.D.D. for making me not pay attention a lot, but I honestly do blame the State's horrible education system.
I'm just dropping by to say that I was really, truly, touched by your story. While I can't say that I've been through exactly the same circumstances, I can safely say that I do know how financial struggles plus an oppressive parent feels like.

It feels depressing when a PC member leaves. It feels amazing when someone returns after a full-five year's absence. Being the person I am, I couldn't help but take a look at the posts you made in your final days, and, in the context given, I was kind of heartbroken and how you managed to mask your feelings in that final post behind emoticons and informal words. It's inspirational, truly.

Regardless, I'm glad that you're back and that you're okay. I don't normally jump on the greeting bandwagon, but your's was an exception. I also don't know you very well, but still, there's nothing wrong with getting to know new people.

    So yes, truly inspirational.

Also, it's too bad you didn't take politics. It truly is an amazing subject. History, I admit, is good too, I personally love it to bits, but I prefer politics.
I just read over your return post, and I can't even fathom a first sentence. But in regards to a History Major, is it any fun learning the history involving long essays and such? I loved learning History when I was in year 10 and almost managed to get an A.
I've heard from Chibi that you're a pretty awesome guy who disappeared and made everyone worried. But enough about the past, welcome back.
