You're not on Christmas Break yet? We've been on break since the beginning of December practically.
Alpha Fan has been meh. It's very slow progress; every few days I'll pick it up for a couple of battles and mess around. I think I'm going in the right direction, but every little Pokemon matters, I could mess up at any time and not know about it. Also, I'm not sure if this will even get the record. I mean, this way could be the fastest we could make it, but it still might be longer than the way that the recordholder did it.
Anyways, I've talked to a couple of my friends (in real life, not PC friends), and they seem really exited to help me with Alpha Fan. But, they're not as good as you guys are at Pokemon. So, I've started making a series of Youtube videos that will basically teach anyone how to do Alpha Fan challenges from start to finish. Then, other people can help me. The way I see it, 3 things might happen:
1. I'll finish Alpha Fan: RBY and not get the record, at which point I will say "at least I tried" and congratulate the record holder on having an unbeatable record.
2. I'll finish Alpha Fan: RBY and get the record. It will have taken so much time that I'll say "I have this record. I'm going to let someone else get the record for the other generations."
3. I'll finish Alpha Fan: RBY and get the record. I'll get better and better as I go, so by the end, I'll know exactly what I'm doing, and have much confidence in it. I will then go on to get the record on all the other games.
If #1 happens, then the guide I'm making is useless.
If #2 happens, I'd like someone I know to get the records, so I'll pass on all my knowledge with the videos.
If #3 happens, I'll be able to use help from others, who I'm sure would help me if the knew I had the record for the first game, and it was just a matter of time before I got the other records.
