  • I've been studying Emerald some... well, a lot. :D
I had some things for your Useful Emerald Stuff thread, which includes:
How to remove the Boy/Girl flightpos chooser for Littleroot, and some other map-related things
How to choose what Pokémon Wally uses to fight with
Also, I'll tell you how the bytes of Wally's Pokémon and the opposing Pokémon work (even the level can be changed!)
Ugh, I STILL forgot to send you the screens.
I'll do that a little later, my brother's on the computer right now.
But no, I hadn't battled them. I'd lost to Blue so I went to Misty's to level up first :D
Go to the Tundra Warehouse in North Route 807 and beat the Admin there. It should be north of a Bird Keeper and a Hex Maniac and there should be a sign saying Tundra Warehouse.
Holy crap, that's totally sweet :O
That's freakin epic, though. Essentially, the only thing lacking for a proper DS hack is a map editor (I know it can be done by hex editing, but I mean an actual decent way of editing maps).
Lol, you must be so excited. :P
Also, I NEARLY finished the Beta today. I got through Mt. Moon, beat Ariana, and went through Misty's Gym. But my team is a bit underlevelled, so it took ages, and I wasn't able to spend much time on it.

Hm, seems the guy did the camera hack, too. Azalea town is 2D there... Nah. I was trying to see if he was faking it, but it seems legit. Cool :P
Nope, sorry, I only got to play for a few minutes today. I got to Mt Moon though, and everything so far is great. Brock is pretty easy if you pick Bulbasaur- it was only level 12, though it still OHKO'd both his Pokemon.
Also, just a tiny suggestion. Maybe make your Mom give you the running shoes when you first go downstairs? I'd beaten Brock when I realised I still didn't have the Running Shoes. I then realised I'd never gone to Daisy for the Town Map (which doesn't work as an item, in case you didn't know). So I went back to Pallet and got both.
I know, it was my fault for not going to Daisy in the first place, but as a suggestion, I'd make it so your Mother gives you the shoes and Pokenav when you first go downstairs or something.
I'll likely finish the beta tomorrow, so I'll give you a full review then. I've been taking screenshots of a few little errors along the way- for example, there's a few block errors throughout (as in Background settings). Tomorrow. Sorry for taking so long.
    Hey :D
I downloaded the beta and got started, but had to go somewhere :(
I'll undoubtedly get to play tomorrow, so I'll be sure to give you feedback.
The bit I did play was enjoyable, though. The key-change of the themes are really nostalgic, IMO. ;) and Viridian Forest looks too smexy for words :D
Brock was just standard Brock: Nice and easy (Especially starting with Bulbasaur =P). Ariana got a little tougher, she's a little higher leveled, but if you have healing items and can switch around to heal I think it's fine. Misty isn't too bad either, it just depends on what kind of team you put together.

    tl;dr:
    - Brock's good
    - Ariana's fine if you have healing stuff
    - Misty is easy enough if you have type advantages
can I have a step by step tutorial on how to make it so the game shows the overworld map in the PC on the cleaned up emerald ROM please?
How could I stand it? Well, that's simple. Your Hack's a whole lot better, and it doesn't give me a feeling that it's a remake.

Also, with the Team Rocket logo you've input in the Hack, it makes the Hack better, making your Hack stand out and more enjoyable.

However, Mind Crystal is just a piece of cheap n' heap garbage,
with no new features and stuff like that.

And also, it's obivous that Crystal Mind is mocking HG/SS.
The author doesn't seem to understand anything at all. He has potential, but wasted it on garbage.

Don't worry about your Hack. Your Hack's fine, as long as you don't quit it.
I know, right? Like... Okay, it's cool they found out how to do that, but...
You know, do it better... :P
Oh, right. I'd assumed Britain or somewhere like that, it rains pretty often around Britain/Ireland. Having said that, Ireland's weather varies a lot nowadays. If you've ever seen the random weather of Liquid Crystal, that's what Ireland's like, excluding the snow and sandstorms :P
    No problem :)

I don't think there's a version for Mac, no :( But if you've a way of connecting that external computer to your Windows Computer, FL should recognise it. It should be noted though that you're less likely to have such rhythm problems when you click in the notes.

    Also:

Can I ask what country you're from? Despite talking to you for months, I've never asked, lol.
I use FL Studio 9, for any version of Windows. While technically I do guess rhythms, there is a kind of grid thing on the piano roll, which the notes can snap to, making rhythm work really easy. I really recommend it, it's great for all music making, not just midis.

Here's a snapshot of the grid I'm talking about:
