  • Oh, I do. In a nice zip folder at that, but.. No matter how many times, it always happens. Even when I expand the Rom (which I assumed would solve any space problems), it happens. But I spent yesterday replacing the overworlds with Fire Red ones, and the tileset with my scratched DP tiles, so I now have a Rom Base to go back to, separate from backups.
..jeez, that is a really nice map, I can't stop looking at it:D I suppose one advantage of Emerald is the amount of overworlds and secondary tilesets, it makes for much nicer maps.
So, I remember a previous conversation we had regarding music making. Did you get Windows after all? (I think you said your Mac was no good to make music on?)
Sorry, I didn't mean to be a whiny child ^^' Although I had to port the screen to my mobile phone to upload it, I was just ticked that if I had proper internet it'd have been useful, haha.
Anyway- WOW. You must have incredible patience with inserting tiles and such. You're dead right, though- it's beautiful.
Those outer gate tiles are really well done, too- although the entire forest is really nice. Thanks for showing me:D
Hey, your hacking Emerald too, so.. I'm assuming Pallet Town replaced Littleroot, correct? And you had to make the map bigger to fit the new Pallet Town's new layout, right?
So, when you resized it, did Oldale Town get erased? I'm having serious problems with Emerald- it keeps overwriting random things, and so far, random maps have wiped themselves completely. Have you had any problem like that, at all?
Ok, PC's going mental on me, posting comments before I'm actually finished typing.
I'll see you around, maybe next time I'll give a screen on time or something :/
(4 words- having a bad day).
Oh, I know, I was just wondering if that's what you were doing. I do that too, see. (ripping outdoor tiles from DPPt doesn't work well, due to the 3D rendition).
Crap, I'll get that screen in a sec, I totally forgot..
    Here you go.
I know it's not much good, but since no one else has already I'll get a screenshot up tomorrow. I've not access to my computer right now, so.. Yeah, that'll have to do, unless someone else does, eh?
Btw, what you're doing, your basically scratching tiles by referring to the screens? You're not ripping them, no?
well, i appriciate you learning how to do it yourself. people need to ask others for tips, not complete help. to be honest, i almost said no, but i agreed because you helped me out.
You're welcome. Usually I prefer disassembling the routines from the debugger, especially when I want to copy them because all I need to do is Edit > Mark and then Edit > Copy (or simply pressing Enter).
Uhm, the keyboard would explain it. Windows 7 is definitely not the problem. Maybe using the Fn key along with those?
That's weird... are you sure the VBA-SDL-H window was focused? I never experienced such problems. Anyway, even the standard VBA lets you disassemble ASM routines. All you have to do is Tools > Disassemble. Once there, select the THUMB mode (most of the time that's what you need) and after you have entered the addess, hit the Go button.
