Is that no grinding rule in the Chess challenge really necessary? It is too hard without grinding. Even a Nuzlocke is easier with that rule :\
And since a full team of six is needed, there isn't enough experience from Trainers to level up enough.

I can't buy Pokeballs in the first town so I'm like grrrr I found 1 in the woods, ran into a Growlithe, what did Growlithe did? Roar at me, and than I ran into that stupid Grogrunk thingy and lowered its HP into the red, oh and it escaped. Boo ;_;
