Well, I would assume it's for the best animation possible. Because it takes so long, I've noticed that the animation is always just simply... gorgeous, rather than what we would probably see if they release it earlier, or weekly like what they decided to do for Tales of the Abyss.

It is. Sadly, I do have a ToS file in which my sister and I sometimes use in order to 'defeat' Mithos... or have him completely defeat us. XD;

Same heeeeere! From the looks of it though, it may not happen until the third OVA, United World. ;^; I really hope they don't take as long as they did for the Tethe'alla Hen to come out. /wants to see animated Mithos and Genis and Mithos together so freakin' much.

That's not the point. Outside of Erika's gym, there is a Cut tree. If I couldn't Cut or Fly, and was inside of Erika's gym, then I would be unable to continue. THAT'S why nintendo kept HM deletion to a Move Deletor.
