Well I was looing at Globe's Postpaid subscription plan there and it's roughly the same for unlimited plans for the company I use that is. But you are correct in assessing that in the major big companies such as Verizon or AT&T, it is almost 3 times the cost...and that's with a 5GB data cap since they got rid of their unlimited data plans a year ago. :/

Only Sprint and MetroPCS does in nowadays here think.

Yeah, or not considering they are in the 3rd world now. :P

You have to realize that Telecomunications works different here. It's turned on it's head compared to the Philippines. Here most of Cellphone customers are usually in a 2 year subscription contract with hefty fees if you want to leave ($200 average) the plan rather than pre-paid like there. They give phones at a loss with the idea that it allows them to have a steady stream of revenue in the current consumer base. I myself am in the cheapest unlimited plan for a bargain pre-paid Cellphone company MetroPCS. But it costs $60 a month. O___o
