  • Then the last option I mentioned is the only solution. Just have a whole new kit, and import resources. Of course, manually entering every script edit will probably be incredibly hard, especially if they aren't tagged. When does the error pop up? Is it as soon as you open RMXP? If it happens when you start playtesting then it could be a problem with the scripts, but if it's the moment the program opens, then it's the project itself. I suppose there's another possibility, and that is that RMXP itself may have been corrupted. I sincerely hope that's not the case, and since others with the same error somehow fixed it, I don't think it is. Was it all of a sudden, or after something was changed? It shouldn't need the Actor Data to play, since it's completely blank anyways, with everything related to the player more or less re-written.
In that case, I'd try transferring all of the necessary files (unique to your project) to a new starter kit. So most of the items in the data file (mainly mapdatas and the script file), audio (if you have any new music), graphics, and only the PBS files you have altered (i.e. if you haven't added any new moves, then just use the default Moves.txt file). The point is to keep as many of the default files as possible to help ensure that whatever file is corrupted is not transferred too. If that doesn't work, then the only other option is to start with a new kit and manually add in every script edit you had in your other kit, and import all of your resources.
Did you copy everything except for the Game.rxproj? It may be easier to just copy the .rxproj file from the blank project and put it into yours, that way you know it's the only change. It sounds like there the scripts weren't copied or something, and so it's trying to load data files that either aren't configured right for essentials (the default ones) or they simply didn't exist.
That I'm not sure about. From what I've heard, you actually have to change the way things are processed, as opposed to just adding functionality. It would probably be best to ask Wichu.
I just looked through the forums real quick, and this is what was suggested before: "Open up RPG Maker and create a new project. Copy Paste all of your game data except game.rxproj into your new project folder. Say yes to all the conformation boxes. Enjoy your game back" Apparently, it is caused when the Game.rxproj file gets corrupted, so you might be able to just copy the Game.rxproj file from a new RMXP file (since it doesn't actually hold any of the game data itself, it should be perfectly compatible with any game you try to put it in)
