Sweat drips from my right brow and I wipe my forehead with the back of my right hand. My whole body is trembling. I can't lose here, after-all, I was just recruited. I need to prove myself, but how can I with this kind of foe before me? I must have zero luck. I raise my head upwards and stare forward with crippling despair. Before me is a sleek fitted teenage boy, with a smug grin plastered across his exasperated face. In front of him is a Charmeleon, his claws postured into the air, evil intent radiating off of it's face. I'm scared. The foul beast has already slayed two of my Pokemon, and all I have left is my Zubat. I slide my hand into my dirtied pocket and pull out my last Pokeball. It's slippery, due to the sweat dripping off my hand, and I almost drop it. This is it, the final deciding factor. If I win this, I should be on high terms with the boss, but if I lose, I don't think I'll be able to see the light of day again. I toss the ball forward, with dismantled ambition, and out comes my final Pokemon. I launch my arm into the air and point. "Go for it Zubat! Use supersonic!" I shout as hard as I can, I feel like my voice might give out. Rays of light extend toward Charmeleon as Zubat's wings flap furiously. Charmelon shifts his entire body out of the way, and pushes his body forward, slamming into Zubat. Zubat falls to the ground, and Charmeleon scrambles atop him before he can proceed to fly back into his domain. Charmeleon pins Zubat down with one of his arms, and brings the other up, than back down with curiosity. It did not care, this was all fun and games for it. It's claws tear into Zubat, and I realize I have lost. In any other case I would not stoop to this kind of low, but whatever I can do to shift my loss into a win, I will attempt. I pull my whip off of my belt, and grip it firmly. I flick it forward and with a harsh tone it slashes Charmeleon's right cheek. A mark forms where I had whipped him, and I shift my eyes to the trainer. He looks upset. I extend my whip once more, and go for another hit, but miss, and my whip hits the ground. The trainer yells out a command, but I can't hear. I'm dizzy, I feel hot, and I see bright orange and red before I collapse.
