The Pokédex thing works great so thanks alot.
However changing the time the titlescreen lingers for causing me problems.
I go to '2700' or 'A8B' and change the number '48' to something else and it messes everything up. I then tried '78C1C' and change the '8B' and it messes up.
It seems if I change anything at the places you suggested it causes issues.
Am I doing something wrong?

Just wondering, since you know how to hack the Emerald world map so well, is there a way that you could get it to load the tilemap and tileset in 4BPP? My world map-maker is having trouble being limited to 256 tiles... :P
Also, would this decrease the tilemap space? For example, would it make the total tilemap size be 256x256, or could it retain its being 512x512?

I was wondering if you knew how to change the duration Pokémon FireRed stays on the titlescreen before restarting to the intro?
You see I've inserted a new titlescreen song but it goes to the intro before the song has finished.

I've been thinking over what you've said recently and I've decided that I'd very much like to use an RTC, and perhaps a D/N, system if you end up getting it perfect. ;)

All sounds good and everything. Perhaps you could disable the whole routine of the flashback thing running when the var is set to be like such.

Another thing I was thinking about is being able to change the OWs that show when naming the rival. Any idea about that? I wanted to change it to the actual rivals OWs for consistency reasons.

I have no clue about volleyball D:. We don't usually play that sport in England.

Well if [rival] works in emerald, is it possible to change what [rival] equals. So like instead of May it would be Liz and instead of Brendan it would be Terry? Still though I don't think it works because I have checked the original text and it says May and Brendan rather than [rival].

Thanks for the help :) I had a feeling it was 'slide' i just wasnt sure if that would show the running shoe animation or if it was just make them walk quickly. Thanks ALOT for the animation offset :) alot of help. Is that offset for the last 3 frames of the flower animation and then the first frame i can just change on a-map? The coloured text thing was because I read somewhere that you can only use coloured text on FR, they must have been wrong. About the wally thing, is it also possible to change it so that they don't send out a pokemon and that they just catch it straight away? thanks :)

EDIT: :O just realised emerald doensn't use [rival] in text, would it be possible to set it so that depending on whether you choose a boy or a girl, the [rival] is set to say a name (that is already inbuilt and not set by the player like in fr)?

Hey seen as no-one actually answers my questions on the simple questions thread I thought maybe you might if I'm lucky.

1) Can you have coloured text in Emerald, if so then how? I mean like for individual words, not the whole sentence.

2) What is the raw movement number for running, as in like running shoes with you and your rival?

3) Is it possible to make there two of those wally battle things where the backsprite and the pokemon they are against is different depending on your gender?

4) What is the offset in NSE for the basic tileset flower animation in Emerald?

At the top of the image it says 'Mountain Pokémon'.
This is because in FireRed the Pokédex can be viewed depending on areas as you know.
I was wondering how to change what Pokémon appear in different areas of the Pokédex whether by tool or hex?
It says 'Mountain' because I replaced Machop...
I want it to be changed to the urban area.

I'd appreciate any feedback you could give me.

Nothing much. Yearly exams coming up pretty soon, so I don't really want to give too much time to hacking (but I don't want to study, either...), and I just finished an entire assignment in two days. Nothing much. :D
