As a kid, I don't think I really would have cared. Pokemon was still so fresh and new at the time that I was ridiculously excited for anything new about it. So the games still would have been great. But as an adult now, I would find it a bit lonely without the first generation pokemon that I loved.

I think it was around gen 3 when they started to pump out more legendaries, I've never used them but I still think there are to many of them. Just so many of them seem absolutely unnecessary :I.

I think it's okay to remove the ads, I don't see it doing much though, other than sucking up to parents maybe. People are just naturally soft on children. I however have a hard time being nice to children, as I can't really stand how children have the right to be selfish. Even though I was of course a child at one point, I still don't like it.

I don't really see them causing any harm, no one I know or that I'm close to has suffered any harm from anything related to adult films. I don't really see them as a big deal and there existence has never really bothered me.
