  • yeah :( the forum i used to go on was really active there and it was a good icebreaker. i think if pc included plug.dj into an event like community day or something it might be able to blow up again.
Yeah not too bad all thing considered, life you know?

I have heaps of students at the moment though which is awesome :D
haha thanks, i've really gotta give it up to MI for funding my colored username. hopefully i can catch some of these supporter dj nights and mafia games sometime soon.
no worries on either front. I'm trying to cook up something RPC-related. It's on some really early stages and requires some more thought and effort. My guess is it'll be finished soon-sorta-ish if everything goes according to plan : 3
omfg i just typed up a brick wall and chrome crashed, i'm gonna lose it.

yeah dude haha. i feel like little joy is really an easy going, light acoustic version of the strokes. it truly is a good album, i'm really hoping they come out with something new one day. shoulder to shoulder also reminds me of the strokes a ton. you said the drummer is from the strokes right? it kinda seems like julian is singing in some of these songs.

yay aha, i really like listening to their album when i want to relax. i'm excited for their new album that i believe is coming out some time in may.

i've heard a few songs from julian's side piece but i haven't heard it in entirety. i usually get distracted with other music or something hah. as for the others, i don't think i've listened to their side projects, well, not on purpose at least lol. maybe if i look up their albums something might ring a bell since pandora plays similar music.

it really is tho, i don't think i've met a single person who has at least heard of my top three bands. it's that and most people would probably look at me and think, "oh she probably listens to taylor swift and miley cyrus" so i never really meet those people with similar taste.

update, i listened to dead sons and can i get a hell yeah? i was heavy on the arctic monkeys a few years back and i eventually overplayed them and they kinda died for me but this is most def the revival. i don't think you know how much i love shotgun woman. i've probably listened to it 10 times now and i'm still going hard. i had a hard time finding any of their music but i recently found their bandcamp profile so i'm going to finish up the rest of their albums. hangman is probably my second fave since it's just like the arctic monkeys. good stuff, where do you find these albums?
'I'll be your mirror' is okay but like it's just kind of a poor man's 'femme fatale.' I guess. it's okay. I don't not like it. 'european son' could've been amazing but it's not )': but honestly I don't really even like white light/white heat so maybe that one's on me.

honestly I haven't even listened to strangers to ourselves yet. I'm scared to. and I have tickets to see them in july so I should probably do it before then, heh. and kyuss probably did influence a lot of like sludge/stoner stuff, that wouldn't surprise me. but ya idk (0:

I'll definitely check out blues for the red sun, tho. I do enjoy thick guitars
personally my fav velvet underground album is their self-titled, I love that late-night narcotized feeling that it's got going. tvu&n is of course stellar as well, but after 'heroin' or maybe 'there she goes again' I feel like the album kinda drops off. )': but the first 7 or 8 tracks are fucking incredible.

modest mouse is probably my favorite band of all time!! I'd definitely suggesting listening to the lonesome crowded west asap. good news is okay, but it's nowhere near their best -- after like 2001 they kinda dropped off, imo, into making dime-a-dozen indie/alt rock. but that's just me. def check out their first three albums + building nothing out of something. they're masterpieces.

I definitely have to check out the rest of kyuss's stuff. as far as the velvet underground of metal goes I'm more inclined to give it to boris but I'm not sure I can really make that distinction considering I've listened to (and am interested by) very little metal. u feel
I like or love all of those so that's cool. what's yr favorite velvet underground album? 8)

my favorite bands are modest mouse, animal collective, the mountain goats, stars of the lid, guided by voices, the aforementioned velvet underground, etc. I like a lot of stuff heheheh. I'm surprised you're into kyuss tho, guess it makes sense as a fan of qotsa. I've only heard sky valley myself
I was semi-stalking your conversation with honey and you seem to have cool taste in music. 8) what are your favorite bands ever?
FUCK I FORGOT TO COME BACK AGAIN i am v sorry
London? If you own a multimillion pound business then yea maybe, but London nightlife is not only generic imo but so expensive it's barely even worth it :P smaller student cities are where it's at really

Mainly because of the connotations it has :P Its important definitely but I'm no Les Claypool, so I'm not great haha. It's like how blink-182 do it, so sometime I sing the song, sometimes my mate does it and sometimes we do it both :)
I have a couple instrumental piano songs released but that's it atm, besides my old band's shitty demos. xD If you want i can link though

Ahh that's fairs, I had that problem back in London too :/ Well there are many two-piece guitar+drums bands out there! It's actually quite a nice combo and easy to organise I find :) tbh the organisation is why my band's a trio, since it's just so much easier and less flaky xP
