Though not directly the most original setting (disastrous diseases have been done before, but then again, what is still original?), I think it has potential. What am I missing, though, are storylines that happen within this setting. You'll need interesting characters and an evenly interesting goal to work to. Though I don't need to know what characters you're going to use, do you have a faint idea about the story itself?

It takes time and effort to understand the human psyche, and it's a never ending process if you're anything like me.

I understand. To that end I've put a lot of work into making it easy to empathize with my characters.

It's not a competition. At least, not for me it's not. Part of making an overall good RP is understanding that RPing is not by nature a sport. It's the entertainment business, and just like competing over who's the better entertainer competing over who has the best RP / Posts is missing the point of the business. (To entertain.)

Sure. I can do that. I don't have that much free time (I'm studying for my upcoming exams). But I can take a quick look at it.

Usually the plot leads to the setting. If you got a general plot idea, you could probably already decide if it'll be the time, environment, ... You could, of course, always take the not-so-obvious way, like putting a fantasy story (a la LOTR) and put it in modern times/the future. Don't worry about the details, they'll come eventually.

Almost nothing besides RP characters. There's no reason for me to. :P The art world is a cruel place that frightens me. My character art is strictly for the educational and enjoyment purposes of people wanting to know what my characters look like. I just happen to care about it enough to go through the trouble of doing it. :P

By thinking out the rough idea of your story, start thinking of characters and settings. Start doodling things... it doesn't need to be "good", it just needs to be representative of what you want it to be.
