For Pokémon sprites, they should all be 64x64 pixels (scratch or heavily edited from originals). You should make front and back normal and shiny. And no, we can't do animated Pokémon battle sprites. Well, we COULD, but it would be a huge pain to program all of them on RMXP. That's why we're sticking to single-frame poses.

Well don't make it in .gif format since rmxp can't read .gif file. Just make two 64*64 size pokemon icons in .png format and merge the sprites together. You will obtain a 128*64 sprite afterwards.

Well the size does matter in this case, otherwise the sprites won't fit in rmxp. Also remember the icon and front sprite should be separated, not in one picture. For the second pose of the pokemon icon, well, you may just adjust the gesture of that pokemon so it will be animated in the pokemon summary screen. You may check the charizard sprite I sent you and see how to make an icon sprites in rmxp format. Like I said before, size of the icon sprites should be 128*64, while the size of the front sprites ought to be 128*128.

However, there's something that I may have to tell you about pokemon spriting in RMXP. The icon should contain two poses of the Pokemon and the size should be 128*64. The front sprite should be 128*128, and yours are too small... Anyway, the sprites themselves are very good, thank you very much!

Don't worry about this. I have future plans to get spriters from orangeislands.net to work on the backsprites together with us. That's why I asked you to make the three starters first since we need to impress people from orangeislands.net with our process before we can request something from them.

If you have time, please make backsprites and icons for the three starters(Koaleaf, Pyrod, Pattle) of Orangeislands pokedex, whose front sprite can be found here:

You don't need to work too hard on that. I understand that everyone has a life outside of internet so just make the sprites when you have free time. Maybe you can use the pokemons sprites in your hack as well, just a suggestion...

Thanks for the backsprite and dont worry about it being sloppy its still way better than anything I could have done. But if it really bothers you that its sloppy just tell me and ill send you a png image of it.
