My heritage is Italian on my mother's side, German and Irish on my father's side, but I never really took the time to learn much about those cultures or languages. I always wanted to learn Italian (and Dutch) but neither of those were offered in my school. I took Spanish for a year and French for three and I haven't really dabbled in it in a very long time.
