Not such a big fan of ASIWYFA anymore anyway. I saw them live sometime last year, can't even remember. I was significantly underwhelmed and my interest faded since then.

I remember you posted this in a thread somewhere before and I liked it. My taste has changed ridiculous amounts though, I don't really listen to post-rock/math-rock anymore. But yeah, I can still appreciate it.

I never really liked Battles either, lots of people rave on about them but I really NEVER saw the appeal. I think their latest album is alright; only song I ever return to is Wall Street though.

i'm a big indie fan too, i've listened to some of beach house but I haven't heard of grouper, i'll have to check them out :) and I go through blues phases, it's not something I constantly have on my ipod, but liking classic rock so much, you kinda have to have SOME appreciation for blues music.

yep :) and I love it! My favorite would definitely be Last Known Surroundings, it's a perfect intro to the album imo. The other songs are all really good too, I was impressed with it.

exactly! I couldn't have said it better myself, that's why I like them so much. well, any band that lets you listen and let you apply it to your life and feelings rather than just plain saying "this is a sad song" "this is a song about a break up" and such.

I know, it's sad how many people don't listen to them, even irl my friends are turned off from the fact that it's all instrumental so i'm always excited to meet another fan! and i'm the exact same haha :D that was my first album I listened to by them and the first song that got me hooked to listening to them was Your Hand in Mine. I can never be in a bad mood when listening to that. and you can play it on the piano? jealous, that's awesome! I bet it sounds really nice.

I also hope you're not adverse to a bit of character and plot development and not just mindless action. It's okay if you are, but I would prefer an intriguing plot to a generic, action packed, cookie-cutter. Not to say that there's no action of course.
