  • Yes. And I'm the type of person that I'd honestly like to have a room to myself, not bunk with other people. That's why I'd be no good with college dorms, haha. And just a note: I changed the rooms a bit for the Pokemon Centers in my story. They're fit for one person, and include a tv. :P

Ah, good luck with that. I hope things move along a bit quicker than expected for ya. ^_^

But of 'coz~ Well to start off, physically, she is based off of myself, although since that doesn't help much, I have drawn several pictures of her, so I'll scan one and let you see it soon. ^^ She's seventeen at the beginning of the story, and is aware that that is considered a very late age to become a pokemon trainer, but pushes that aside and does her best regardless. She is moving from the Johto region to the Hoenn region because her father became gym leader of Petalburg City, and to start her journey in a fresh new region that she has yet to learn much about. She's a bit of a fashionista, starting out the story wearing kind of a lot of jewelry, but that changes later on when she realizes it's more of a hindrance than anything. When it comes to clothing, however, nothing will stop her from wearing what she wants. :P

Anyway, upon reading over my VM, I realized that I told you more about the story than the girl herself. ^^; That's because she starts out as a bit of a bland character, but develops character traits that are unique to herself slowly throughout the story.
Yep, I 'm with Lisa all the way on that. In fact, the main character in my story is a bit like that. She'd take a Pokemon Center over camping out, but a hotel over a Pokemon Center. :P

That's too bad. :/ Well I hope something can be done about that eventually.

Alright. :) Once I get it published on a site, which I plan to do when I get up to at least chapter 10, I'll link you to it. The character in my story is named "Celest". It's much more linear than your story, since I'm having her traveling through a region that I myself didn't think up, but it's still fun to write, since it feels like I'm really traveling through that region. :P Haha.
I could never get into FF or KH either. I find the lesser known ones to be just as good, if not better.

Haha. I like Betty, she's pretty cool and funny. xD Yes, I've read chapter 6. Looking forward to chapter 7! "Getting Her Calculus and Her Gym Battle On" is just an awesome title for a chapter. 'Nuff said. xD

I see. Scoring a job in real life is difficult enough; it must be near impossible to do it over the computer or phone. I don't see how anyone could do that unless you're a serious business person.

I've read a good one like that that ships an OC with Steven Stone, but unfortunately, the authoress seems to have given up at chapter 26. :( I actually started one myself, partially for the same reason as you, and it's about halfway through chapter 7. It's really taking a long time though, thanks to my schedule. But, as long as I don't permanently give up on it, no matter how long I go without writing, I still consider it a class-B work in progress. :P
I was obsessed with a JRPG series called ".hack//G.U." for a while, just because I felt like I could really connect with this one character. I mean the plot/story is amazing and everything, but it was this character that really won me over. That's really what gets me into most series, honestly, is just one character I feel that I can connect to.

I've read chapter five. ^_^ Team Thrash reminds me a bit of XD's Cipher group...goofy, yet intimidating. Haha.

But yeah, there's plenty of places to work around here, so you wouldn't have to worry about a thing. I mean I still have trouble getting jobs, but luckily I'll be starting college in January, so I won't have to worry about that for much longer anyway.

I like those types of stories, too. You're actually one of the only people I've met that is like that; most people that I know unfortunately dislike those types of stories. :( They claim they are too "linear and cliche", but it doesn't bother me if they are; I enjoy reading them regardless. Anyway, I will! ^_^ Heh, true. When the connection goes down here sometimes, not being able to get on the internet is torture. >.<
So true. My thing with that is that I generally tend to get into video games and manga more than anime, but I go through my anime phases too. xD Black Cat is a bit of an unknown one that's really good, but I was into the Haruhi Suzumiya craze back when it was alive. I also watched Rosario + Vampire when it first came out. It's cute, but...really perverted. xD The anime moreso than the manga.

Well, maybe I can learn some things from her. ^^ Not that I plan to travel out in the wild anytime soon, but ya just never know what'll happen! Haha.

Ah, good luck with that. Hope things as far as that goes work out. Luckily, I live five minutes from a mall, but even then I still can't manage to find a part-time job, beside the one I have now, which I despise.

Oh, wow. Neat. ^^ I miss the early-mid 2000's, haha. But I'll definitely be on the lookout!

I've been doing pretty well, thanks for asking. Really nothing interesting goes on during the week for me right now except for dance class on Wednesdays. xD By the way, I have a fanfic in mind that I think you may like...since you seem to like Pokemon Colosseum. It's extremely well written and well thought out, quite like your story. Very dark elements, too. Would you like the link to it? ^^ Hopefully you haven't already read it, haha!
Haha, I bet. I'd say if I hit at least 20, it'll be worth making a list. xD

Lol, she's coping better than I would, to tell the truth. I freak on days when I actually style my hair and then the wind blows it in the wrong direction. xD But I don't blame her; it seems like most of the Pokemon characters are like that, considering some of their outfits. Haha.

Ah, I feel ya. I'm not one for outdoor camps and such either, and I wouldn't sleep outdoors if my life depended on it. I too prefer more urban areas to rural. Rural can be nice sometimes, but it depends...do you ever plan to move to a more city-like setting?

Don't worry, I won't let my curiosity get the best of me. :P If I don't figure it out by chapter 54, ah well, although I'm sure I will. I'm determined!
Thanks! Bookmarked it. ;) I would, but I honestly don't feel that I've watched enough (interesting) anime to be able to do that. When I get into a certain anime, I tend to obsess over it, and come back and watch it again and again rather than try to watch new ones. That's why my list is so small. This especially holds true for Tokyo Mew Mew...

    Well, glad to say that I've read chapters 2, 3, and 4! Scary, some of the stuff she's already been through, but she sure knows how to tough it out! I'm still trying to process her father just blowing her off like that over the phone when she's potentially in serious danger, though...o.o;

To be honest, I'm not much of an outside person in the first place (don't get me wrong, I like my fair share of outside activites, but I also like being inside a lot as well). Would you consider yourself more of an indoor or outdoor person?

Ha, I have a feeling that chapter 6 may provide me with more clues, considering its title. xD
I don't have that, actually. But I'd be more than happy to see it. ^_^

I've read chapter one. Lisa certainly is different, that's for sure, but I think she's going to be a really interesting character, and I can't wait to see what sort of character development she undergoes. Haha, she's definitely a math whiz! But girlfriend needs to get a pair of more comfortable shoes. I'm a bit like her in that I tend to wear heels almost everywhere, but lately I'm trying to change that, to give myself a little more diversity (and comfort :P). Overall, I do like Lisa and her Meowth, and am looking forward to reading more about them. ^^

Temperatures in the 70's are perfect for me too, or even low 80's I can handle. Anything over that, though, is no fun. It does get surprisingly cold here in Florida sometimes, though. Last winter I believe we went down into the 20's one day.

I tried searching a bit, but came up with 3 colleges that don't seem very fitting...only one of them had a football team, I believe, and one (or two) of them were women's colleges. Don't worry, I'll search around some more once I pick up a few more hints from the story. :P
I know how you feel about the shinies, I had the event Celebi that you need to get Zorua that I didn't want to lose. I ended up transferring it into Platinum so it's saved for another day :)

Do you live in the north? I live in Canada, it's definitely getting chilly out!
No problem~ Also going to look into your list of anime very soon. ^_^

Yes, I can't wait! I plan to read chapter one later tonight, when I have more time. Hehe, I'm positive she'll be BAMFtastic. >:3

Ah, same with me, but vice versa. It's always suffocatingly hot here, so I cherish colder temperatures, lol. One thing I have heard is that San Diego, CA has great weather year round, so I'm looking into that a bit. ^_^

Wow, haha, congrats! Glad to hear it. And ah, yes, I was looking at the chapter titles earlier; Palmetto State, correct?

    I certianly will. =)
Well, since you like the romance genre so much, I'd definitely suggest Paradise Kiss. It's a really lovely anime. ^_^ Other than that, next time I talk to my friend who has watched a right ton of anime, I'll try and gather up some more titles for ya.

Well, I did manage to read the prologue so far. Even just from that, I can tell it's going to be really good and interesting. I like how dark it is; that aspect of it reminds be a bit of Colosseum; much darker than what would normally be considered "dark" for Pokemon. But I do like it so far, and am looking forward to continuing it. ^_^ Poor Dr. Sequoia. :/

We're starting to head into cooler temperatures as well, finally. I'm sick of the dreadful summer heat here. It's near impossible to be able to do anything outside when it's like that here.

Ah, that's too bad. :/ Sorry to hear that. Hope it turned out to be better than you expected. My dad is a sports fanatic, so I'm always hearing him talk about how horrible our home teams are doing...xD
No problem, you seem pretty down to earth so I'm happy to have added you :)

I'm not doing too shabby, debating doing a playthrough of SoulSilver using one of the challenges and just been busy with the usual life stuff.

    Yourself?
Ah, well that's good to know he gave you a discount. ^_^ Apparently the people around here that make costumes are as expensive as crap, so first thing's first...I need to start saving up. Like, badly.

I'll be sure to do the same for you if I discover/hear of any good ones. ^_^

Yes, they sound absolutely awful. Dawn's voice...*shudder* Brock and Team Rocket don't sound too terrible, although they sound a bit like they're trying too hard to sound like the 4Kids VAs.

Oh sure, I love fanfics starring OCs. ^_^ Please do!

I despise going out during weather like that. Sometimes it gets so bad that we just have to sit in the parking lot and wait it out before we can even move. Glad that's over with for you though. ^^

I'm doing well. We ate at a pretty good seafood restaurant today, and my mom got a haircut, and...that's about it. About to watch a movie with the family. xD
Wow. o.o But you know, it'll always be that way when waiting for something like that do be done. Life happens...and dogs. They happen too. I unfortunately deactivated my Facebook several months ago, but I suppose I could make up another one just for that purpose. :P

Oh I definitely will, it sounds really good. ^^ In fact, I just may look into that tonight~ I'll be sure to look the others up as well. I think romance is nice; I don't mind watching it. Although not gonna lie, sometimes it makes me feel just a tad lonely. xD

Good point. I also liked Ritchie and Sparky a lot (Sparky was so cute :3). I don't like Ash's new voice either, nor do I really even like any of the new VAs. Haha, I gave up on trying to like Pikachu a long time ago. I just tend to ignore it now when I do actually watch the series.

Oh I know, I saw her in your album. ^_^ Lisa, right? She's super cute!
Ah, what luck. I've heard there are people around here that do that, but I have yet to find a way to get in contact with them. Plus, they're super busy around convention time since they're generally involved in the production of it, so I don't think cosplaying will happen for me this year either. xD

As a matter of fact, I actually have a friend who's obsessed with Hitohira, and so he told me all about it. Haha. It's on my "to watch" list. But the others, afraid not.

True. I thought Ash was a bit of a BAMF, just at first, but it didn't take long for him to get on my nerves either. And how can he still be so...weak? xD Aww, that would've been awesome! Or at the very least, she should've had a Chronicles episode. :/
