I can't recommend an A-Text tutorial, but then again I don't recommend A-Text in the first place. (Not that I don't want to give a tutorial, I've just never actually seen one to refer you to).
If you're ONLY renaming the Pokemon and Trainers, this can be done with 3 tools- while this sounds like it's making the job more complex, you're actually eliminating the possibility of glitches, which can sometimes be caused by A-Text. The three tools you should get are-
*A-Trainer
*Yet another Pokemon editor(YAPE)
*eXtreme Script Editor (XSE)
YAPE can be used to change the names of all the Pokemon, A-Trainer can be used to change the Trainers' names (in battle) and XSE can be used to change the scripts to cater for the new names. For XSE you could open the scripts and literally just change the names, but I'd recommend re-scripting them anyway. Basic message scripts are pretty easy, I recommend looking at diegoisawesome's XSE tutorial, in the Tutorials Section, naturally.
This is all the help I can offer, I'm afraid- sorry I can't make it any easier for you, this is all I can think of.
