Yeah, those guys have severe issues, and I am not sure what the root mental illness is. What I do know is that they really need to get off the internet and find something better to do than harass people.

Shipper is a nickname for someone who wants to see two fictional characters get together.

The prefix added to shipper is the sign of what pairing they like, for example;

PokeShipper = Somebody who wants to see Ash and Misty get together.

AdvanceShipper = Somebody who wants to see Ash and May get together.

ContestShipper = Somebody who wants to see May and Drew get together.

PearlShipper = Somebody who wants to see Ash and Dawn get together.

OrangeShipper = Somebody who wants to see Tracey and Misty get together.

NegaiShipper = Somebody who wants to see Iris and Ash get together.

AmourShipper = Someone who wants to Ash and Serena get together.

A fanatic is a purely single-minded, overzealous person who is tremendously extreme about something.

A PokeShipper fanatic is somebody who either mentally became Ash or Misty, and wants the two to get together so badly that they show deranged behavior on the internet as a result.

Some genwunners I've seen aren't really right in the head, and aren't true Pokemon fans. They've shown a lot of nostalgia-dwelling of sorts, and tend to be generally bitter about life and the world in general.

Of course, they aren't ANYWHERE near to being as bad as hardcore PokeShipper fanatics.

Meh, the reason why people love Generation 1 so much is because of childhood and nostalgia purposes. The Pokemon fanbase doesn't exactly have that many sane people around.

Currently, generation VI. The Kalos region and its Pokemon are amazingly awesome, and I love the new characters too. ^_^

I've been around since the early 90's, so I was there to witness the birth of Pokemon. XD
