    Odds are if it's kept your interest as long as it has kept mine, then you'll probably never grow out of it. I see absolutely no reason to stop playing for the sole reason of getting older.

    I have a shiny Entei from GameStop and the Lake of Rage Gyarados, but those don't really count. The first shiny I saw in any game apart from the Gyarados was a shiny Electrode in the Mahogany Town basement in the generator room. It made me so sad when it used Selfdestruct. I caught the next one...
