  • I can't stand pure fact essays, they're so painful to write. For me at least. I'm over halfway done, so that's good. Believe it or not, but I used to loathe writing assignments. I would sit and complain for hours, finally getting it done at the last second. Now, I'm a bit more patient, but that doesn't mean I like it.

I never got into roleplays. I almost did, but I just didn't think that I could keep motivated with them.
I would think so too, but I'm a creative writer. Sure, I have no problem finding the right words, so that part of me is fine, while the creative half slowly dies as the paper goes on. To put it into simpler words, I'm better with stories than with essays.
Actually, I'm not completely sure about the size of them. I think mine are too small, and yours are too big. I'd have to test that to be sure. Also, in the end it might be nice to have them in both their outfits, variation never hurts.

Anyways, I'm going to give it a rest for now. Thanks for the sprites!
Oh, I'm taking a break on a 4 page essay due tomorrow. It was a little dumb because the professors kept telling us that they were going to tell us more about the essay every day, so you couldn't really start it until the day before.

In all honesty, I don't know if I would want someone flying out just to meet me. My dad leaves me paranoid of these types of things, so I don't know if I would be comfortable with that. But, if you really want to play the card game, I could always attempt to make a second deck and ship them out to you. The cards are on index cards, so I would have to remake the cards. I don't know if I have the free time for that right now, though.
Yes this is excellent, Love how you've added Politoed's Cheek and Curl, gives it an old Japanese style feel :D Thanks!
Whoa! You VMed me just for a simple thing like this? XD

You don't really have to ask for a new sprite. As long as it has 5 changes and it looks epic, you can change however you want!

But yeah, go ahead, throw a new one!
The deck is separated into the five categories I mentioned earlier, so there are technically five decks of varying size. It all depends on how many cards I have made for each section. Right now, the deck with the most cards is the Traps section, while the fewest is level 4. Players gain 500 food at the beginning of their turn. There are also cards in the level 1 and level 2 decks that give you more food. Two cards give you 1,000 food and one card will give you 1,500 food in the level 1 deck. In the level 2 deck, one card will give you 1,500 while another will give you 2,000 food. Just so that one player doesn't have all the power forcing everyone else to buy weak monsters every turn just to survive. A common strategy in the beginning is if you're the first person, just stay on the first turn and since no one can attack you, you get a level 4 monster on the first attacking turn.
Well, while you're getting ready for church, it's currently ten minutes until it turns sunday for me. Good luck with the nephew, I know it's tough, but as long as he keeps going to church I think it will be okay. Well, at least I turned out okay (I hope).

Yeah, my card game is for multiple players. The most people who have played at once is eight, but I expect that since I've made more cards, it can hold around ten. The usual amount is around four people. It doesn't really have a limit, the only limit is how long you want the game to last. The eight person game lasted an hour, and I won!
Well, community college, but if it's one thing I learned in the first week, it's that all because it's community college, doesn't mean it's going to be easier. My brother and I share a car over to the college since we end at the same time and I have an hour when I arrive until my class starts, so that's pretty much my free time. There's also the weekend!

You have a nephew? What do you mean by "winning him over", does he hate you or something? XD

I don't know if we can play my card game. It's more exciting with more people, but it works fine with two people. What doesn't work fine, however, is my internet, so no skype for me.

Happy Sunday to you too and God bless.
Sorry, I had to get off and go to bed. College started on Monday for me and it has sucked up a lot of my free time. I'm typing this in the morning when I'm going to have to leave in five minutes. Hooray! D:
Oh no! Darn, well I'll just copy what I said over here and add a few points as I was stressed for time.

My card game is unique in the fact that everyone uses the same deck. I have one deck that splits off into five smaller decks (level 1, 2, 3, 4, and traps). At the beginning of the first turn, everyone starts off with 1,500 food and 5,000 life points. You use food to buy different cards, and the only way to win is to deplete all of your opponents life points. When a monster gets destroyed, or when you use a trap, it simply returns to the bottom of the deck you took it from. Cards get more expensive with level 1 cards costing 500 food, level 2 costing 1,000 food, level 3 costing 1,500 costing food, level 4 costing 2,000 food, and traps costing 1,500 food. Players gain 500 food at the beginning of their turn. Monsters have only one stat, attack, and which ever one has the higher one wins. You have to get rid of a person's monsters and attack them directly to deplete their life points and eventually win. That's a basic overview of the game without going into the more technical details.

A lot of people refuse to set foot in a church because they feel like they're being judged. If only we could get rid of that, a lot more people might be willing to try it. My pastor shared a survey result with us about how non-religious people viewed religion. To make a long story short, just about everyone thought that religion was fine and might be beneficial, except for church. They thought everything was fine and dandy, but they wouldn't be caught dead inside of a church.
On my card game, I've made probably around 120 different cards. A lot of them were my friends' ideas, so they weren't all my idea.

I don't really listen to rap on the radio because I don't like the message and I can't go onto youtube (my internet is like a cell phone data package, without the unlimited data option, I couldn't remember if I've told you this before), so all the rap I know is on the radio.

My favorite christian band is MercyMe. I really like their song "Finally Home", and it's the first song that really made me notice them. I love "To Save a Life", it's a great movie and it easily makes my list of top ten. I couldn't tell if you were talking about that movie or a song, so I'm sorry if you were referencing to other things. As said before, I can't watch videos, so I don't know all that much.

Okay, time to be serious for a minute. The truth is, yes, it would be nice if more christian songs/shows were played, but then people would have a fit. There was even a petition going around to change Christmas to simply, the holidays, because people were so against religion that they didn't want a single tie to it. If more people are going to be converted, it has to be done without force. When people are forced to do something, they tend to want to do the opposite, so if we start putting Christian stuff everywhere, people would throw a fit.

In my opinion, you have to ease people into it. The way I go about my life, I don't preach everywhere I go because it will only turn people off of it. I try to be as nice as I possibly can to anyone and everyone. I try to live the bible out, rather than preach and talk about it. If people wanted to learn about that stuff, they could go to church. Now church brings up a whole new issue that I'm not going to touch right now. I may not be converting a thousand people a day, but I think I'm at least bringing down those stereotypes people carry with them.

One of my aethiest friends came over for dinner. When I first met him, he was intolerant to any hint of religion whatsoever. After a couple years of hanging out, he prayed with the rest of my family without any conflict. Multiple surveys have concluded that the reason most people don't like religion, is because they feel like they're being judged. I feel the best way to bring people in, is to get rid of these barriers and awkwardness that drive people away.
I would teach you, but it requires certain cards that I draw myself. That's what I mean when I say it's like magic and yu-gi-oh, special cards are required. I remember in statistics our teacher had us play texas hold 'em, except we were gambling our grades. Luckily, he only counted it if you gained chips. I started with 100 and ended with 312.

I don't think religion is banned from AGT as there have been several religious groups on there. I think they discourage contestants from doing them, however, because the sad truth is some people won't vote for religious people, so people don't sing those type of songs.
I never played yu-gi-oh, and I'm sure her performances are on youtube. Try searching "Cami Bradley" if you're interested. The only card game I've ever played (besides the one I made) was magic. It's complicated once you start, but you soon start to get the hang of things. Risk is a game I will rarely play because I never win and it takes forever. I've never played advanced wars, but I heard it was a good game.
I've been going to church pretty much my entire life. We just recently moved to another church, where our music director is the one to make it to the final six on AGT. Unfortunately, she finished sixth, but she did very well.

I actually have a few game ideas myself, one is a card game (like magic and yu-gi-oh), and another game is one that I would compare to risk because it's militaristic and it takes FOREVER (seven hours in my first playthrough). I think it would be really cool to patent them and take it to a big game company and sell them.
Well good luck, I hope they call.

Sorry about that, it probably said I was online, but I was watching the finals of AGT (America's Got Talent). It was an interesting season. Of course it gets more interesting when there's a contestant from the same town as you and they make it to the final six.

I had a lot of fun today. We played some disc golf, video games, we even dug around in our game closet and found a really old board game. The 90's games were so weird, it wasn't all about playability, but more about what kind of cool stuff came along with the game. Kind of like today's video games with the graphics.

What do you do for fun?
Good luck! I have a friend coming over today, so I don't think I'll be on all that much today. Tell me how it went!
