FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE GOOD WITH NUMBERS! Not everyone is as brilliant, shining and... AMAZING as he wants them to be! Some people are just plain idiots and walk into a pole that they walked into just 2 hours previous! He expects everyone to be great... Just like everyone else in the world does. They always set their expectations too high, and then when you fail you're filled with such a pool of guilt that it makes you want to give up more than just damn maths.
