  • haha i know, it's quite different. but in a good way, yes? (。 >艸<) i finished watching the first season of Digimon and felt i had to do something in commemoration. kinda same with you and your Frozen theme, no? c:
i hope you can still recognize me by my unconventional name at least :p
i was able to pre order the splatoon amiibo and the ness amiibo. those don't come out till may 29.

i like frozen, but i think there are better disney movies such as wreck it Ralph.
    olaf is cute.

Perception of work and an individual's place in a company - which in itself is more like a family than a corporation - is drastically different, yeah. Of course it'll lead to a different business model...and the fact that Nintendo are exclusively working on video games, and not digital media in general, means their priorities are different.

Well, typically it's the high street retailers that inflate the cost - I rarely pay over £35 for a game on a last gen system, and 3DS and Vita games are usually £30. Online retail and used games keep things balanced...the corporations scream and moan about it, but if they don't like it they can lower their bloody RRPs and stop being so greedy. xD

Chatspeak is one of the few things that can instantly ignite my anger if used constantly. I am a very calm person usually, but once people start throwing that kind of language in my face...well. xD

The Japanese business model is hugely different from the Western one still, yes...I wrote my postgrad dissertation on Japanese corporate culture, aha. Nintendo have been in this business a very long time though, and their strength is in the quality of their IP; Sony and Microsoft have ventures besides from gaming; they're more diverse.

Gaming DOES cost too much; that's a huge issue these days. Cost vs. benefit is skewed towards the business and not the consumer, which is generally very poor practice in almost any other industry...
Last post is in november, which is way past the 30 day mark (60 day for owners), so feel free to remake it if you like. if you submit it today you'll have it approved and ready to go tonight. :)

Not easy to get your point across sometimes regardless, especially if you're unwilling to resort to chatspeak or whatever else...and I would sooner say nothing at all than use that kind of language, aha.
I wouldn't say Nintendo's fanbase was all that large, but they're better at attracting customers from all age groups than Sony or Microsoft because of the strength of their core IPs. Anyone can pick up and play a Mario game. I guess it depends on the angle you look at it from.
Nintendo are woefully inept when it comes to being a corporate business, which is part of their appeal, but also a giant setback when it comes to things like Amiibos. It takes them forever to get the product out, but it's of a damn high quality when they do, and they never produce enough of it. Quality over profit is a great stance for consumers, but an awful one for a business to have...I mean, look at the Wii U's sales, then look at the PS4's. But then compare the quality of the games. They're in a weird position in the market. xD

It is? Well...I guess I would like to know some of the people I followed on Twitter back when I used it for all of a couple of weeks, aha. But it doesn't allow long posts, which goes against my principles! xD
Social justice has pretty much no meaning on Tumblr; it's a mindless trend. Kids these days...
It'd be nice; if they want to communicate with fans, they should do it on a consistent basis, not every two or so months with overloaded and often underwhelming videos.
    P
Social media sites in general aren't fantastic...Facebook is awkward because it's filled with people you know in real life, and Tumblr is filled with people blathering on about social justice without either knowing what it really is or truly caring about it. Don't even get me started on Twitter. xD

Well...it isn't. Fire Emblem is far surpassed for strategy and depth of gameplay by Disgaea, and SMT is a middling-average JRPG series that never hit the heights of other series. They're like...underdogs that have somehow gone from cult status to full-blown religion over the last couple of generations for no adequately explored reason. Mind = blown.
Nintendo love their directs now...they even shut down their magazines to focus on them. Which sucked, as the old ONM mag was pretty well written.

I barely use Facebook at all these days...not really anyone I want to keep in contact with. Sure, saying hi every now and then is nice, but extended conversations...eh.

I don't care about Fire Emblem or SMT - neither are remarkable series in my opinion - so there was literally nothing there for me. xD

    My mother spends all her time on those crappy things on her Kindle as well...I wonder why sometimes. I tried Farmville on Facebook when that was a thing, but I never really saw the appeal to it. If I want a quick five minute game I'll play Theatrhythm or something. xD;

I liked Aincrad, and that arc of the anime wasn't too bad until Asuna's character got wrecked, but Hollow Fragment wasn't the continuation I was hoping it'd be.

I've seen text speak just as bad, but I've never seen anyone deliberately type gangsta like that unless they're playing it for laughs in a single moment. As a continuous thing...nope. xD

Boring. I really don't have anything to say about it, because there wasn't anything really worth commenting on. I was hoping for some worthwhile news ._.
    P
Oh, it wasn't all positive - I had to share my Gameboy with her. Then my Gameboy Colour, then my Gameboy Advance, right up to the point where she got a DS Lite of her own. As a child, it annoyed me not to be able to play whenever I wanted and to have my mother draining my batteries! xD

    If you ever do, I'd strongly advise against getting Hollow Fragment - the translation is terribad. It ignores the Alfheim arc entirely anyway and provides an alternate ending for the series set in Aincrad, so you probably wouldn't enjoy it as much anyway. xD;

I would think even if the English was bad that kind of change would stand out; I've never seen anyone type like that! xD
yeah he's really random. i dont like him. he's not related to anything lol. boo would have been better.
    P
It was! Everyone loved it...except for our parents, aha. And the news, as you had all those stories about Pokemon being violent, cruel to animals, blah blah blah. My mother hated it as well until I pestered her into playing my copy of Red when I got Yellow...that shut her up immediately. xD

Guessing you're looking forward to the inevitable localization of Sword Art Online: Lost Song, then? I believe that's set in Alfheim Online...

You're the second person to tell me that now...are you anticipating a sudden drop in my general English for no adequately explored reason? xD
    P
We weren't allowed potentially dangerous toys...or Pokemon cards. Or pogs, once people started playing for keeps. xD

But it was like one of those cheap and crappy free to play MMOs! Plus Asuna's character was destroyed. You can't tell me you preferred her cowering in a cage to kicking arse in the first arc? That was what I objected to more than the change of scenery, really...it's always romance that does in the strong female characters ._.
Well, you might. It's a very high quality show in terms of animation, it's just the writing that suffers. The characters do something, then take about ten minutes to explain how and why they did it; it's tedious as hell and makes literally no sense. But at least it's pretty, I guess?
    P
Beyblade never really took off in my area...people were more into Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, aha. I spent a small fortune on those...then I got back into it when GX started airing, and again when 5Ds started airing. Soooo much money wasted. xD

He's a forgettable side character! Where on earth are you getting a character assessment for him from? He doesn't have a character! xD

I refuse to watch SAO II because of how awful the first season was...well, the second half of it. I like Sword Art Online. I don't like Alfheim Online, or any of these other settings the thing has gone to. It's unnecessary repetition on a theme.
I read a lot of fantasy novels, so I've seen a lot of good and bad magic systems, aha. As for Mahouka...yeah, I hate being bored stupid with techno babble that in no way helps me understand or appreciate the magic system, and I hate conveniently emotionless OP protagonists whose sole defining trait is that they're OP and everyone else worships them. Mahouka is a complete farce of a series. xD
    YEAH IDK WHO HE IS
well you can use only the amiibos in the amiibos function game board.
it's everyone from the other mario party games, but you have to buy toadette and spike from gold you earn from playing.
