  • It's happened to me before, I know the pain... there's a way to reopen the window, though. And no, I use Firefox primarily.
Yeah, emulating, exactly. I took an already existing game and made a new one out of it.

Listen, I welcome creativity concerning powers, items or techniques. Whatever is acceptable as long as it serves writing purposes; your character could survive days alone and without food, which could be useful through harsh environments where a grass-type could not possibly live. Your idea is not outside the limits, certainly. If you want to go with that, it's fine, just make sure to treat the Leech Seed as a separate item and not a move, and explain how it works (this could be done in the 'Others' section).
Of course, the games are a major influence. I joined especially to hack them! xD I was a ROM hacker when I was a noob here.

If it helps you develop your idea, sure, tell me.
Just as I have been influenced by World of Warcraft. xD Games do that a lot!

I don't know if there will be any serious duels between the RPers, so all you'll have to fight is enemies you make up yourself. You can make him as powerful as you want (within the limits of a Sceptile, though) - depending on how you want him to fare in battle.

And alright man, it's your call.
Non-Pokemon? Yes, I tried, but it failed quite miserably; I don't think I'll ever be ready to move out of the Pokemon concept. But you should try that, maybe you could pull it off!

"the Leech", I see. Perhaps you would have him hold a Big Root instead? It increases the hp the hp-stealing moves extract. Or, you know what? You could if you want go beyond the Pokemon-like items and make an item yourself; one which suits best your character. But make sure it's not overpowered or strays too far from the Pokemon concept.
Ah, our minds certainly work differently! I prefer developing things on the way, I find it much easier. The best ideas come naturally to me.

Oh... hm, a pity they didn't happen a bit earlier.

There are berries, there are items that are imbued with the power of the elements (held items); if you want your character to own one, sure! You're making a hero here, achievements and power do count. No need to be too modest!
I understand how you feel; GMing is a tricky job, I'm coming to realize. Not only should you keep watch on the activities and how much people are involved, but you need to keep the story in line so it makes sense.

I haven't been following the roleplay, no. I'll probably read it in the summer.
Hmm... if I were you, I would start with the world itself, and then focus on the story; the characters sprout up like flowers throughout this process. At least for me, it might not be the same for you. And why is that, don't you feel ready to be a GM?

Oh... lol, have I made a mistake? xD You know, I kind of had a hunch that the Dark One was no Pokemon, right from the start - what kind of Pokemon would feed on strife and bloodshed?
I see, sounds like you're whipping up something. Are you writing a fic/preparing a RP? You're a good writer, man, I should be glad to see something of the sort coming from you.

Hah, might be he's only what his name suggests. ;) I don't know exactly what Supervegeta has in mind for him, all I know is that he is his creation - he's not affiliated with the Pokemon world whatsoever, but I think you'd have guessed that by now?
Hm, interesting, though I don't quite get on what concept you are working them on. Have you created a world that belongs entirely to you?

Although the Dark One got involved into the two crystals, I assure you he has absolutely nothing to do with the prequel; he is a relatively newer entity.
Oh? What might those characters be?

Indeed, it is. The story takes place in the same world, only in an entirely different era and continent. In fact, the Age of Heroes is a good four thousand or more years away from the time of the Gold Tribe. I would have mentioned it somewhere, but the connection with the original series does not become obvious till the very end, which I hope we might reach.

And if you are there, you might learn how the Gold and Silver crystals came to be.
No problem, if you require anything else, just message me. I can provide you with additional info regarding everything you see on that thread.

Ah, no, he is not, Tsulong is an Arcanine. To be honest, I treat every character that has some role to play in the storyline as my main; that's the trick to make a post with quality writing, I believe. It's just, people are not used to this kind of logic and would demand me to control a visibly main character, so in these books, Tsulong takes that role. He will be in lead of the group, but I needed another character to promote him, which belongs to that Sceptile (who is not a Hero of the Grass Mastery like yours).
Haha, well I promise you won't regret joining this one!

It's all okay, don't worry about such things. All the TMs are replaced by 'tutors', which means a certain technique may be passed down from Pokemon to Pokemon (in some cases, even when that Pokemon is not compatible with the move). About your character, he's a Sceptile... huh, funny, one of my main characters is a Sceptile. Guess our group will be distinguished by its Sceptiles. xD
Just so you know, we never actually got each other's names the last time we met, so you shouldn't have known Vera's name.
Yeah. She won't be out long (can't afford it) but I would say get her somewhere safer.
Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. I was moving yesterday and now my computer wants to give me problems. She should be pretty much passed out right now, so the only thing is that you should be hearing, "help me..."
Okay. I can do that. She could be hiding in an alley nearby. That work for you?

That's pretty much what the main argument for her help is gonna have to be.
that may be more difficult than bringing me in to help the Gold Tribe, lol. Genevieve hates Vera. But she may be willing to cooperate if you persuade her.

That is a good point. In her weakened state she should be fairly susceptible to thought reading. You could catch the thought by accident.
