Hi sam, I'm not in Canada, but I'm from USA, and I know several Canadians.

Sewaddle and ofc it has to be ditto, or it could be Voltorb/Electrode or Magnemite/Magneton b/c they both fit the requirement you said in your clue. It looks like a bug type, but isn't. It's second Gen pokemon and it has wings and yet can't fly.
