I've decided to continue working on Pokemon Saga, since I guess I just don't want to wait for DS tools. What frustrated me was mapping, since it didn't seem to match up with my HG version, but then I figured out the collision properties of trees in HG/SS is actually 2x3 tiles, even though it's 2x2 in R/S/E/FR/LG/D/P/Pt. But now that I've figured out what the problem is, everything's okay.

Though I'm not going to request to have the thread re-opened, I've decided that I'll just post a thread once I get Chronicles started too, and then Pokemon Saga - Adventure and Pokemon Saga - Chronicles will be in the same thread.

Really? I was worried that I might have come off a little... well, *****y >_> I always just call it like I see it and tell it like it is. My family says I have a severe lack of tact... which is probably true.

Well, playing my hack felt very "un-3rd gen". I don't know why. But you'll see, thought it might be a while.

Even though I said I hated the FR/LG tiles, they're starting to grow on me. But I never liked the multiple grass tiles, it's confusing to map with them, so I guess that's what led me to not like the FR/LG tiles.

I'm taking it easy, but I'm making progress at a much faster rate than I was before. Currently finishing up some Pallet Town scripts.

It means that you expanded your rom with 00 bytes instead of FFs. It's not really a problem, but I think it's more "simple" to use FF bytes.

Oh, I'm planning on using the Pokécenter and Starting town themes. BD Have you ever tried make your own 'Welcome to the world of Pokémon' tune or more routes?

About the music thing, trust me, it's MUCH easier to actually use a piano-based keyboard then the typing keyboard.

As for the hex editor, I use GoldFinger. It's easy to use, and functions just fine.

I'm aware that you seem to have musical knowledge, but I can't use FL studio anyway. Even though I do rom hacking on Windows, I can't hook up my keyboard to my Windows computer and make the program work like it should. I've found a program for Mac that satisfies me at the moment anyway.

Just from the tutorial. I seriously doubt every rom hacker here has musical talent. Some people can't even define what "key" means.

For some reason, I feel that Progressing Hacks gets more attention, so I get my hacks in there. :3

The thing is, I have a keyboard attached to my Mac. So far I've found one program (that I've forgot the name of), but I'm not too sure how to use it. If GarageBand could make midis, then life would be SO much easier....

Back in March I was part of the school musical. That musical had awesome songs (the Wedding Singer), so I'm thinking of composing my own midis based on some of those songs.

EDIT: Wait, now that I know what FL studio is, it looks like crap. I want to compose my OWN music, not put together existing stuff. Besides, isn't it for Windows?
