  • I've heard good things about Heroes even though i've never played it, and i like how there are 3 characters at once that you can control. E-123 Omega is a real favorite of mine, i love his dialogue, although all of the teams have great chemistry with each other. Even though they had to resurrect a certain character because they liked him that much (that's major spoilers for SA2 so i won't go into detail about who it is)

What? You haven't played Mania yet? GO PLAY MANIA! It's incredible! Just make sure you get Sonic Mania Plus, since it includes the extra stuff added later on. It brings back everything that made the Genesis titles amazing. A real downside is that most of the Zones are returning from 1, 2, CD and 3K. There are only, like, 4 new Zones, but they're all pretty good. Except for the last area. That one sucks.
I ALMOST finished Rush, but i was so fed up with the Super Sonic exclusive boss that i just gave up. Sonic Rush could have been so much better if the flaws it has didn't outweigh the good portions.

But, there are a LOT of Sonic titles i like in the meantime. Sonic 3K will always be the No.1 best Sonic game to me for all time, although i do enjoy a good ROM hack, too.
Got that right! In fact, Daft Punk and Toei worked together to make the film. I highly recommend seeing it at least once, the music slaps, the wordless storytelling is great, the animation is fire, it's truly out of this world!

Speaking of good music on a different note, i saw you post Sonic Rush related stuff in the music rating thread and i'm actually playing through Rush currently. (i finished Sonic's story and am currently going through Blaze's) I can vouch for most of its content and say that it's at least a good Sonic game. On the one hand, the gameplay is ridiculously solid and i love how you can trick in the air to fill the Boost meter. On the other... there are a LOT of flaws that hold the game back. Case in point, all of the random BS death pits and HORRIBLE bosses. The music slaps hard, though. I honestly listen to What U Need all the time.
Don't you worry, i'll probably find something that i like eventually!

I dunno, i don't really know why i can't quite click with anime. I think there was a discussion one time that i saw where someone was talking about how anime usually gets a bad rap, and i can definitely see why. A lot of, shall we say, "Normies" look at anime and usually see the bad parts of it. Case in point, hentai/body pillows and weebs. It's usually frowned down upon for that reason. I think a lot of the true anime fans who like the medium because of the animation/storytelling are mashed into the group of crazies.

Plus, some big anime names (DBZ, BNHA, AOT, etc.) are either overblown and extremely overrated, or they're genuine bangers. I've never really seen a true anime TV show before, but i HAVE seen a movie called Interstella 5555. Perhaps you've heard of it?
Well, if it isn't .hack! I've seen you around some of the threads lately!

Thanks for the game list, but i'm not very big into Dragon Ball or anime in general. I tried Bravely Default and i didn't like it very much, and Friday Monsters doesn't really interest me. But again, thanks for the recommendations! I appreciate you seeking me out just for that!
Yo .hack, how have you been? Thank you for the friend request, I saw the notification when I popped up on the site and was surprised 😂 didn't expect to get one. I hope you're doing okay, have a good weekend!
    Same!
I don't really go on this site much anymore but I always at least come by to help people out with my ROM hack (though I'm up for chatting sometimes too).
2 and a half years but I've been pushing myself to decompile at least 0.5% every week in last 6 months. The code (.text) section is about the same size as firered.
    > What is the kirby romhacking scene like?
Like... nothing? There does exist some tools but most stuff is unknown.
Anyway we have only ~40% code decompiled so we still have a long way to go.
Purchased a lot of the dip recently, actually. Became tough to find the natural kind. Wants just the nuts and none of that other stuff.
