Haha damn Snivy is weak against a lot of gyms! That's what I did, I got Pansear and trained him a bit before fighting the first gym and won without a problem. I haven't lost any gym battles as of yet, the one I had to train the most for like before I went and challenged it was the 4th one cause Dewott was my strongest pokemon and he was probably going to be practically useless. So I caught a Drilbur and trained it which lead me to win without a problem. (It's funny cause Dewott did quite some damage on that gym battle despite his weakness xD) I'm now headed to the 6th city and I'm going to train my guys a bit before I challenge the gym :3 My current party is: Samurott, Zebstrika, Pansear (Going to evolve into Simisear once it learns 2 moves), Axew (My friend traded it in :D), Drilbur and a Duosion. I want a Rufflet before I get to the victory road but i'm afraid that's impossible since I believe that's where you get it (or near there) and all my friends have black so they can't trade me one >>

Yeah I got Pokemon White on monday, I'm just up to the 5th gym. I chose Oshawott :3 On previous pokemon games, I ALWAYS chose fire starters; Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic and Chimchar. So I thought I should give another starter type a try and I don't regret it at all. I currently have a Dewott and I love it :P Before I got the game, I wanted Snivy, but then I changed my mind. How good of a starter is it?
